IVY'S POV
*joey and i are currently at the airport to fly to florida to go on the cruise we met on over four years ago. it's been a couple days since our wedding and most of his family has gone back home. i sit in a chair, waiting for our flight to be called and joey sits next to me. i lay my head on his shoulder and he holds my hand tightly. i intertwine our fingers and smile big to myself.*
ivy- hey joey
joey- yes baby?
ivy- i really love you with all my heart
joey- i really love you too. i'm excited to move onto bigger things soon
ivy- me too. going on this trip though is going to be so bittersweet
joey- i'm probably going to cry
ivy- me too baby, me too
flight attendant- flight 357, boarding is now starting. flight 357, boarding is now starting
*joey and i stand up and walk towards the line. joey insisted he got us first class tickets and knowing i wasn't going to win the conversation, he bought them. we walk onto the plane and i sit next to the window with joey next to me. i unfold the blanket in my arms and lay it across joey's and my lap. he kisses my forehead and i smile big before kissing his lips. he kisses back and the flight attendants start explaining emergency exits and what to do. i hold joey's hand in my lap and he rubs my hand with his thumb. i lay my head on his shoulder as the plane starts moving and we both watch through the window, despite the fact that it's nighttime. i yawn and lay my chair back once we are in the air. joey does the same and i run my hand through his hair. he falls asleep within a matter of minutes and i smile, closing my eyes. i drift off to sleep, laying next to my husband.*
{ 4 hours later }
*i wake up to the smell of food and since the flight attendants are serving pancakes, i get two orders; one for me and one for joey. i thank her and put the boxes on my tray. i put my chair up and kiss joey's cheek. i lightly whisper that there's food and shake his shoulder gently. he wakes up and i put the box of pancakes on his tray.*
joey- what did you get us baby?
ivy- pancakes and you've been asleep for four hours by the way sleepyhead
joey- when did you wake up love?
ivy- like 5 minutes ago
*he chuckles tiredly and i smile as i eat. i yawn and take a sip of water. joey kisses my temple and i lean into him. he plays with my hair and i take my last bite of my pancake. i keep my head on his chest and he continues eating.*
ivy- i'm going to go back to sleep baby. i didn't get a lot last night
joey- why not baby?
ivy- i don't know just one of those nights. i promise you nothing is wrong
*i kiss him gently and lay back in my seat. he plays with my hair and next thing i know, i'm out.*
JOEY'S POV
*i wake up as the plane lands and see ivy looking out the window. i kiss her shoulder and she looks at me with an even bigger smile. i smile big back and look out the window with her.*
