JOEY'S POV
*im helping my mom pack all the boxes into the moving truck that will bring all of my things to ivy's dorm while we fly there. i'm letting ivy sleep in since we don't have to leave until 11am and it's only 8am. my mom brings out the last box with me and i smile, giving her a high five. she gives me a hug and i hug back.*
jen- i'm so proud of you joseph. i never say it a lot but i am
joey- thank you mom, it means a lot
jen- you can go relax and shower. i'll make breakfast, i love you
joey- i love you too
*i walk back into my room quietly just incase ivy is still asleep and lay down next to her. she rolls into my body and i wrap my arm around her waist while she sleeps. i play with her hair and post a picture of her head on my chest on snapchat. i shut my phone off and her eyes flutter open. i smile big and kiss her forehead softly.*
joey- good morning sleepyhead
ivy- good morning baby
joey- did you sleep good?
ivy- yeah. when did you get up?
joey- about an hour ago. i just let you sleep some more
ivy- did you pack all the boxes with your mom?
joey- i sure did
*she giggles and hugs my tightly. i hug back and gently rub her back. i hear her sniffles and i lay my head on hers, holding her close.*
ivy- it's today..
joey- four years..?
*she nods and starts crying on my shoulder. i hold her tight and rub her back so she doesn't freak out. i lift her head off my shoulder and wipe her tears with my thumb. she sniffles, causing me to grab a kleenex and wipe her nose.*
ivy- i got your shirt soaked, i'm sorry..
joey- don't worry about it princess. it's okay i can wash it later
ivy- i miss her so much..
joey- i know baby, it's hard but you've been so strong and she would want that
ivy- i know.. sometimes i think of how different it would be if she was still here..
joey- we'd probably still be doing long distance except for the fact that we are in college and now different states
ivy- yeah you're probably right
*she sniffles again and looks at the necklace she always wear. i kiss her forehead softly and her small body leans into me.*
joey- my mom is making breakfast so we can either get ready now or after we eat
ivy- can we get ready after we eat.. i just want to hold you..
joey- anything you want baby. we just have to leave by 11
ivy- oh yeah our flight.. i graduate tomorrow..
joey- hey.. she's proud of you. you know that
*she nods and i play with her hair. my mom knocks on the door before walking in and she sees us.*
jen- hey just wanted to let you guys know that breakfast is ready
joey- okay we will be out there in a few minutes
ivy- thank you for telling us..
jen- of course. are you okay sweetie?
ivy- um.. y-yeah i'm fine
*she turns her head into my chest and starts crying as quiet as she can. i give my mom a look about not asking anything else and she nods while leaving. once my door is shut, i kiss ivy's cheek a couple times and wipe her tears.*
ivy- do i look like i cried..?
joey- yeah you can tell but you can just stay quiet while we all eat okay?
*she nods and stands up. i stand up with her and hold her hand as we walk out to the kitchen.*
IVY'S POV
*i really want the next two days to be over with already but it can't happen like that. we just got to our gate at the airport and are waiting for our flight to be called. i rest my head on joey's shoulder and he holds my hand, rubbing his thumb softly on my skin. i close my eyes due to being tired from crying and he rests his head on mine.*
joey- i love you so much
ivy- i love you more j
joey- and i can't wait to be married to you because then i get to be with your forever
*i smile at his words and look up at him. i kiss him softly and he kisses back, resting one of his hands on my face. i pull away after 3 seconds and he pecks my lips 3 times before i lay my head back on his shoulder.*
ivy- i say this a lot but i really did get lucky with you
joey- i did too baby and don't worry if you say it a lot, it shows that you care
ivy- do i ever annoy you..?
joey- no, of course not. where is this coming from?
ivy- i just.. i know i annoyed skylar sometimes and i spend a lot of time with you so i thought maybe i did..
joey- you never annoy me princess and you never will. hearing you talk or want to cuddle or knowing that you're comfortable enough to cry with or to me, will never ever annoy me. i promise you
ivy- i love you baby
joey- i love you too
*i kiss his cheek and walk onto the plane with him and his family. jen bought us our own row while they are across from us and we finally get to our seats.*
ivy- can i have the window seat?
joey- you can choose whatever seat you want, as long as i'm next to you i'm okay
*i sit down next to the window and joey sits next to me. i intertwine our fingers and the airline workers start explaining everything to do if there is an emergency. i lay my head on joey's shoulder while they talk and look out the window.*
{ time skip: 15 minutes }
*the plane finally starts moving and i hold joey's hand while recording the takeoff. he kisses my cheek a bunch while i record causing me to giggle and drop my phone in my lap.*
ivy- you are a bully birlem
joey- oh you love me
ivy- yes i do
*he smiles big and i smile back, admiring him. i rub his cheek with my thumb and he lays his head on my hand. i giggle and kiss his cheek a few times before laying my chair back and pulling a blanket over my body.*
