IVY'S POV
*today is the day i have an interview for my job. i'm going to be working at a hospital with newborn babies. i wake up at 7am and stretch in joey's arms. i carefully sit up to not disturb him and walk into the bathroom to get ready. i turn on the shower and wash my face while it heats up. then i brush my teeth and get in the shower, soaking my hair and body with water. i wash and condition my hair as well as washing my body. i turn off the shower and wrap a towel around my body and my hair. i stand in front of the mirror and sigh as i put on my nicest clothes i own for the interview. i blow dry and curl my hair before walking out of the bathroom to see joey sitting up on the bed.*
joey- good morning baby
ivy- good morning
joey- you're stressed, come here
*i walk over to the bed and sit down next to him. he puts his arm around my shoulders and i lean into him, taking a deep breath.*
joey- you're going to do amazing love. this is what you've wanted all your life. i'm going to be here waiting once you finish and we will relax here today until you get the call. we will celebrate then
ivy- how do we even know i'll get the call?..
joey- your record looks amazing baby. there's no doubt and there's at least 2 positions open remember that
*i nod and turn my head to look at him. i kiss him softly and stand up. he stands up with me and we walk downstairs. i cook some scrambled eggs for joey and me. i put some on his plate and sit down at the table. i slowly eat my food and joey holds my hand close to him. i intertwine our fingers and try to calm down internally. i finish eating a few minutes later and start washing my plate. joey comes up behind me and stops me from washing the dishes.*
joey- baby, take a deep breath with me. follow my breathing
ivy- okay i'll try
joey- you will, once you do it you're going to be okay
*i nod and start taking deep breaths with him. he kisses my forehead and i look up at him. he looks at me and i connect our lips. he kisses back and rubs my lower back once we both pull away.*
joey- i'll see you when you get back? you're going to do great baby
ivy- you'll see me, thank you. i love you baby
joey- i love you more princess. go rock that interview
{ 20 minutes later }
*i park at the hospital and get out of my car, locking the doors behind me. i walk inside and check in at the front desk, letting the lady know i have a meeting. a couple minutes later a nurse calls me back and leads me to a meeting room. i take a sit across from the lady who would be my boss and shake her hand.*
ivy- nice to meet you, i'm ivy
angelica- nice to meet you too ivy, i'm angelica. i will be interviewing you today
*i nod and we start going over my record.*
JOEY'S POV
*i hear the front door unlock and i turn my head, seeing ivy walk in. i stand up, waking over to her and she pulls me into a hug. i hug back and play with her hair.*
joey- how did it go baby?!
ivy- well i think it went good. they said i should get the call by tonight
joey- it's about to be lunch, if you want to change and go out somewhere we can do that to distract you from waiting
ivy- what if we made some food here and binge watched the third season of 13 reasons why?
joey- i think that's a better idea
*she giggles and kisses my cheek. i turn my head and connect our lips. she kisses back and wraps her arms around my neck. i hold her waist, pulling her body against mine as we both deepen the kiss. she slowly pulls away with a smile and i can't help but smile back.*
ivy- i'm going to go change and then we can make some chicken quesadillas for lunch
joey- sounds delicious baby
*she giggles and she walks up the stairs to our room. i get the ingredients out to make lunch and she walks downstairs a few minutes later with her hair in a messy ponytail, wearing spandex and one of my hoodies. i smile big, causing her to smile back and she walks over to me.*
{ 25 minutes later }
ivy- let the binging begin!
*i laugh as i start the first episode of the third season. ivy lays her head on my shoulder as we both eat the quesadillas we just made.*
joey- i wonder who killed bryce?
ivy- me too but at the same time, he deserved it
joey- yeah i agree babe
ivy- also these quesadillas are so good
joey- and which i also agree
*she giggles and we turn our attention back to the tv.*
{ 5 hours later }
ivy- well we've gotten through 5 of the 13 so far and it's only dinner time. what should we make?
joey- pizza tonight? you've had a long day and i think we just want to binge this show right now
ivy- you're not wrong with any of those. i'll call them
*i nod and she calls the pizza place, asking for a medium pepperoni pizza. she then hangs up when her phone starts ringing again. she immediately answers and says "hello?"*
ivy- yes yes this is ivy speaking
ivy- oh my gosh. thank you so much
ivy- yes i will be there next week on monday for my first day
ivy- thank you again. have a good evening goodbye
*she puts her phone down and i stare at her in shock. she smiles big and looks at me with the same amount of shock in her body. i hug her tightly and she hugs back, sniffling into my shoulder.*
ivy- i got my dream job..
joey- you did it baby. you did it and i'm so proud of you
*she lifts her head off my shoulder and looks at me. she kisses me softly and i kiss back, cupping her face. we keep kissing for a few minutes and after things get a little heated, we both pull away and hug again.*
ivy- we both got our dream careers and we're living together at 20 years old baby. this is insane
joey- well rumors are true for us. once you find your soulmate, everything is good
ivy- there's no denying that. now let's finish this season to celebrate
