IVY'S POV
*joey and i had already agreed that i would plan the first part of the day for our anniversary and joey would plan the second half. i have plans up until after we eat lunch because then it's joey's turn. i wake up around 7am and slowly get out of joey's grip without waking him up. i lay one of my sweaters where i sleep so he still thinks it's me and i walk into the kitchen. i call room service to order crepes for breakfast with coffee and once the order goes through, i hang up the phone. i got flowers delivered early this morning so he can wake up to them. i know that guys usually get the girls flowers but nobody said i couldn't switch up the gender roles. i lay the bouquet on the nightstand and lay back down in joey's arms. i run my hands through his hair to make sure he stays asleep and he wraps his arms around my waist in his sleep. i leave small kisses on his cheek and admire him while he sleeps.*
{ time skip: 1 hour later }
*i take the pancakes from the worker and thank him before shutting the door. i put the tray on joey's nightstand and lay the flowers next to them. i stand on his side of the bed and kiss his lips gently.*
ivy- wake up baby, we have to get the day started
*i rub his shoulder softly and he starts shifting around. i giggle and sit down on the bed. he looks at me with a smile and i smile back, pecking his lips. he holds the kiss for a few seconds and i point to the nightstand after pulling away. the smile on his face grows even wider and he pulls me down onto the mattress, hugging me. i giggle and hug back. i lay on top of him and we stay in that position for a couple minutes.*
joey- happy 4 years my love
ivy- happy 4 year anniversary baby
joey- i love you so much
ivy- i love you so much more
joey- thank you for breakfast and the flowers
ivy- there's no need to thank me
*he shakes his head and sits up, making me move into his lap. he reaches for the tray and puts it in front of us on the bed. i turn my body so my back is against his chest and we both start eating the strawberry crepes.*
joey- so what are we doing this morning princess?
ivy- well it starts with this and then we are going to go on a short hike up a hill
joey- aw my little athletic baby
ivy- shhh i'm not that athletic. but after the hike we can come back here to clean up because we are going zip lining for an hour before going to lunch on the beach
joey- that sounds amazing
ivy- thank you i planned it all by myself
joey- no way! i thought i helped
*we both start laughing due to the sarcasm and i hold onto his hands that are around my waist. he starts kissing my neck and i giggle. his breath is hot against my skin and he leaves a couple more kisses in the spot. i lean into him and he chuckles, kissing my temple.*
JOEY'S POV
*ivy is putting on her shoes and i wait by the door for her. she walks over to me with two water bottles in her hand and hands one to me. i thank her and take one before opening the door. i walk out the door with her and she turns left. i follow since i don't know where the trail is and we reach the forest looking trail around 10 minutes later. she looks at me with a smile and i smile back, intertwining our fingers. she holds my hand and we start walking up the hill. while we walk, i let ivy go a few feet in front of me and i admire her walking in leggings and a sports bra. i tuck my shirt in my shorts since i'm sweating and she looks back at me. i wink and she quickly turns back around because she starts blushing. we reach the top of the hill 30 minutes later and sit down at the bench at the top.*
