Days and weeks blurred together for Charlie as she struggled hard to keep herself alive. The ginger tried to change. She tried to get out of the house more and make friends but every morning her grey eyes seemed to become more and more empty. Today was no different.

Charlie woke up and laid in bed for an hour before choosing to finally rise. She looked at her phone and saw she got a text from one of her high school best friends who wanted to have lunch. She agreed despite knowing that this could only turn bad.

Soon enough Charlie was sitting down at a local restaurant that she and her friend use to spend a lot of time at. They would come for breakfast or skip a class or two to get lunch here.

"Hey" A blonde walked over and the two females shared a hug before sitting back down.

"Hey Alice" Charlie smiled weakly. Alice was beautiful. She wasn't the typical dumb blonde either despite having the body and the beautiful doe brown eyes to make her seem innocent. The two girls drifted apart when Charlie ended up dropping out of school to take classes online their senior year. The first thing she noticed was the wedding band on her finger. Alice and Charlie were friends on Facebook and of course Charlie knew about the wedding her best friend had just that last fall, the wedding that she hadn't been invited to. Despite the fact Charlie was the reason Alice and Mark, Alice's husband, had meant. "How have you been?" Charlie shook her head to get her mind off of her wondering thoughts.

"I've been great really great" Alice smiled sweetly at Charlie who couldn't help but smile at how happy her friend was. "I got some news"

"Wow it must be something big" Charlie laughed running a hand through her hair. "You didn't even tell me you were getting married in person"

"Charlie you know I wanted to but I was busy" Alice sighed "and we only had a small wedding I wanted you there but it was only family." Charlie wanted to laugh. She had seen photos and she knew nearly everyone in both her and Marks family and she could name a handful of people who weren't related who were there. However she remind silent.

"You know I wasn't trying to make you feel bad. I was just joking" Charlie smiled at Alice. "Tell me what's so important that you couldn't text me?"

"I'm pregnant!" Alice squealed excitedly as she pulled out an ultrasound and gave it to Charlie.

"Wow" Charlie managed to breath out as she looked at the photo with a small smile. She was so proud of Alice for making such a beautiful life for herself and she was starting a family. "I'm so happy for you guys" she smiled weakly.

Soon lunch was over and the two friends went their separate ways. Alice got into her car while Charlie started walking through town towards her home. Alice offered to bring her home but Charlie refused. Charlie's mind was drowning in negative thoughts making tears slowly roll down her cheeks as she walked with her head down and headphones on. Suddenly she was grabbed by a strong hand making her look up to see a man with grey, almost white eyes and grey hair looking down at her.

"Excuse me" Charlie questioned looking up at the male confused as to why he grabbed her.

"You suffer silently but show much love." The male spoke making Charlie blink surprised. He seemed to be looking into her soul. "You will travel far and mean more then you could imagine"

"I'm so sorry!" A woman rushed over and unhooked the male from Charlie's arm. Charlie looked at the woman to see she looked to be the mans nurse. "Mr. Andrews got away from me." She laughed and walked away with the man. Charlie blinked a few times before she started walking again.

The strange word the male told the ginger were quickly forgotten as her depressed thoughts came flooding back into her mind.

'Worthless. Waste of space. Useless. Talentless. No body. Your better off dead. No one needs you. Just end it.'

Charlie stopped walking and turned to the railing next to her, gripping it tightly. She blinked away the tears before looking around, finding herself on a bridge. She looked down at the rough water before and took a deep breath.

Jump

The single word shook Charlie to the core. She had tried to end her life before a few times but if she was being honest, they were just calls for help. Now she had gotten help but it didn't change anything. Maybe all the thoughts in her head were right. She was worthless, she was useless. No one would miss her. Before Charlie knew what was happening she was climbing over the railing of the bridge. She gasped when she realized what was happening but even that didn't stop her from jumping.

Time seemed to slow down as she fell through the air towards the rough waters below. The sound of screeching tires echoed the mid July air as someone passing by had caught the wild ginger hair falling towards the water. However they were to late.
