The three hunters were in the small bedroom they had been given by Ella. It was shortly after dinner and they were now free to look into more of the 'case'.
"I'll be back" Charlie said after a bit of silence standing up and walking towards the door.
"Where are you going?" Sam asked standing up from his bed. The trio had all agreed that it would be best if she and Dean shared a bed.
"The bathroom" Charlie told him before leaving the room quickly before either of the boys thought she needed a buddy to use the restroom.
Once free Charlie smirked as she gingled the keys to the impala. She quickly walked over and unlocked the trunk to get the Holy oil. She needed to act quickly if she wanted to save Carl from the hell hound. Luckily for her as time got closer to February she had picked up the habit of carrying around drug store glasses in her jacket. The ginger stepped away from the car just a bit before pouring the oil out of the jug then set it on fire with her Zippo. She ran the glasses through the fire for a moment before slipping them on then putting the fire out.
"Show time." Charlie closed the truck after putting away the Holy oil.
"What's the show?" Sam's voice spoke from behind her making her jump and turn around quickly to see Sam and Dean standing behind her. Both looking angry.
"If you want to kill a hell hound you might need this" Dean said pulling out the demon knife.
"Guys.." Charlie said looking at them feeling slightly guilty.
"You've got to be kidding me!" Dean snapped making Charlie jump back into the Impala. "Sam told me about you wanting to take on the trials! The answer is no by the way thanks for talking to me about it."
"I didn't tell you because I knew you would be angry!" Charlie protested.
"Damn right I'm angry! You haven't even hunted yet and you think you're going to kill a hell hound? Do you want to kill yourself?!" Dean yelled at her making her flinch. Sam looked slightly concerned at the sight of her flinching but kept silent.
"I know things that neither of you do" Charlie told him but her voice cracked a few times. "I'm from a world where you a tv show remember? I just want to save everyone. I'm not meant to be here and if I die who cares?"
"I do!" Dean barked and turned to Sam pointing at him. "Sam does. Just because you weren't born in this world doesn't mean you don't mean something!" Dean took a few steps forward towards Charlie making her look down at her shoes. Dean's glance was intense and her mind was in shock. She knew the brothers and her had gotten close over her time here but she had no idea they cared this much about her. A scream from the house made the three of them turn towards the noise. "We aren't finished" Dean told Charlie because the three of them took off running.
Charlie stared at the body of Carl for a while getting angry. She could have saved him from this if the brothers hadn't stopped her. They could be done with this trial and waiting for the next one, Charlie would just tell the brothers what it was herself but she had forgotten it. The brothers and Charlie finally left the crime scene and returned to the small bedroom.
"I could have saved him!" Charlie snapped. She wanted to ignore this conversation because she didn't think she could handle the looks she was getting from the brothers but as soon as they were alone her anger got the better of her.
"If you would have told us about Carl we could have saved him!" Dean snapped back at her.
"I did!" Charlie stepped forward. "I couldn't say it straight out like 'hey guys Carl is the one who made the deal because I've seen it on your tv show'! I hinted at it and all I got was 'we know more then you so fuck off'"
"I didn't say it like that" Dean protested which made Charlie just roll her eyes.
"Why didn't you just tell us straight?" Sam asked.
"Because it's not right. I'm changing enough things just by being here and helping you guys out. I know about a lot of stuff you guys don't but if I told you everything right now what would that do? It's just going to freak you out and you are gonna be stressing over that! I'm willing to change a lot of things for the better but telling you everything will stop my plans to help."
"Like your plans to take on the trials.." Sam said realizing what she meant. Charlie cursed to herself knowing she said to much.
"What does one of us die or something?" Dean asked and Charlie paused looking down at her feet.
"Neither of you die" Charlie said after a moment. She looked at the both of them and sigh. "You don't close the gates the hell alright?! You get to the last trial and one of you stops the other one from finishing because it will kill them."
