AUTHORS NOTE: ok this is kinda an important chapter for the story but at the same time a filler transition chapter so i hope it's not too boring, the argument especially took ages and didn't seem to come the way i wanted it to but eventually i think i got the general meaning of it through. I hope you find this chapter...... um....... interesting....... and can't wait to hear your thoughts please read and review 💖💖Harry leaned against a freezing wall in an alleyway in some town he didn't even know where. He struggled to catch his breath again and it frustrated him more every time, he couldn't take anyone down unless he could keep himself up. It was a very grey day near the end of October and he'd been following this man for two hours, hoping to take him in for questioning about a death threat he'd sent directed at one of Harry's children. He knew that it may be exactly in their interests to lure Harry towards them but the advanced tracking charms Harry had been working on for the past year would be a surprise advantage, they were very hard to detect. He cast a strong silencing charm on himself, Harry was usually quick and quiet but this infuriating cough could ruin everything if he wasn't careful. Luckily over the years, casting wordless spells had become easy, even with complex charms so he wasn't worried. He was focused on the task and found that this helped to dull the pain and he knew exactly why being an Auror had been the right career path for so long, until Ginny and Kingsley had persuaded him to take a break to try and "de stress". He hated when Ginny was worried about him, she didn't deserve that, none of his family deserved the worry and disappointment that came with knowing Harry Potter. He wouldn't rest until they were safe and he had to be well enough to fight for them.
He used a strong disillusionment charm and walked right on to the street. The man was at the other end by now and Harry didn't want to risk hitting a Muggle with a stunning charm, which was the easiest to do if the suspect didn't know someone was there, but if he hit the wrong target then he could blow his cover as well as hurting an innocent person. Silent and invisible, this would be easy if he got the right man. Harry walked down the street as quick as he could manage, if he could get there without having to take a rest break then this job was done. Idiot, Harry thought, looking at the man's wand in his back pocket, in a Muggle area with no concealment charms, a complete giveaway. Harry cast the stunning spell and watched as the man dropped in the middle of the empty street, holding his wand in the man's direction, Harry dragged the suspect into a small alleyway and apparated.

Ginny gave up on the article she was writing at work. At least now the League season was over so she didn't have to write endless stories of Puddlemere's many defeats, they were terrible for the first year in a long time, their seeker had wanted to retire but there were no suitable candidates for replacement. Why was she even still here every day? It didn't make her happy and she didn't need the money. She guessed it was just the normality of the work she stayed for, she didn't know what else she wanted to do with her time but the alternative was being roped into doing speeches and statements at the Ministry and being constantly questioned by reporters and Ministry workers about her husband, she would much rather stay a Quidditch reporter.
Ginny gave up and walked towards the break room at the end of the corridor.
"Ginny!!! How's your article coming along? Mine is a complete fail, I came down here hoping for some sort of inspiration."
Ginny laughed. "I'm the same, not really on it today."
"How did your kids' Quidditch match go yesterday?"
"Great, I got an owl from both of them this morning telling us that they won 340-70. Nice comeback from their last match. Harry is so disappointed he had to miss it, he was exhausted and we all told him not to strain himself if he can't do it. He feels so guilty when he's only missed around three in their entire lives."
