Selena's pov
⚠️ this chapter is ridiculous ⚠️
But the next one will be much better 😝To say that I was restless at that moment was utterly an understatement. I was literally pacing around perrie's living room for over two hours, with hopes of calming my down, but unfortunately, it wasn't working, instead, I was just adding more fuel to the fire.
It's been over 5 hours since Trent left to go get Laura from the airport, and I had been trying to get in contact with him, but his phone was not going through. I've called, I've texted, I've emailed, but nothing worked out, and honestly, that was kinda making me worried! I just couldn't imagine the kind of hell Trent was facing with Laura.
For the little time I've got to know her, I could tell that she wasn't the type to get angry, but I did know that she gets hurt so easily, and honestly, the last thing I would ever want in this entire world was to see such a sweet soul like Laura crying because of me. I would never be able to live on with so much guilt.
"Will you stop pacing around the room and sit for a minute?" Perrie Said, trying to get me to relax for the past one hour.
"I can't help it! Only god knows what Trent is facing right now!" I replied, running my fingers through my hair in the process.
"I'm sure he's fine! Stop worrying yourself so much!" She told me, giving my shoulder a little squeeze afterwards, but that was still not enough to make me feel at ease.
"I hope so!" Was all I managed to say as a response.
Suddenly, I heard the doorbell ring, snapping me out of my thoughts right that instant.
I immediately ran to the door, with a slight smile plastered across my face, thinking that it was Trent, but right after I opened the door, my eyes widened in disbelief and shock as I stared at the figure in from of me."L-Laura?" I blurted out, but it came out more like a whisper due to how low my voice was at that moment.
"Hi, Selena!" She spoke, sounding rather relaxed than as pissed off as I expected her to be "Aren't you gonna let me in?" She Asked, snapping me out of my thoughts once again by so doing. So without wasting more time, I moved to the side a little bit, giving her a chance to walk into the lounge room while I locked the door and followed her behind.
"Oh, hi Laura!" Perrie smiled as Laura and I arrived at the Lounge room.
"Hey Perrie!" She smiled back as she waved her hand at Perrie.
"Do you need something?" Perrie Asked, flashing Laura one of her billion dollar smiles.
"No! I'm just here to talk to Selena!" She replied, making my eyes widen at her words.
Well, I'm screwed!
"Oh, Okay well, I'll leave you both alone then!" Perrie Said and started making her way to the stairs without even giving me a chance to protest.
"We should take a seat!" She said, while I just nodded in agreement with a nervous smile across my face as we both sat down on the black leather couches.
I knew exactly what Laura wanted to talk to me about, I was completely aware that she was gonna interrogate me about having an affair with her boyfriend while she was gone, and I was feeling awful for that! I didn't want that incident to define me and my personality in front of Laura and the whole world, when that wasn't actually who I was, even though it was gonna be hard for her to ever believe me again.
She was a really nice person and a great friend to me as well, so I didn't want anything to change between us.
