Okay, I think my heart might've stopped working for about two minutes. It felt like Perrie pushed a pause button to my life with her words, because I couldn't say or do anything at all. All of my joints turned pale and legs felt like jelly.
I just couldn't believe what I heard; Trent was with Hildegarde? That too at such an odd time of the day? Why would he be with her? What was it that he needed from her? Why? Just why would he go to her?
"No! It can't be" I denied "he said he was leaving for training"
"Well, That means he lied to you, because he is with hilde as I'm talking to you right now"
That stung badly.
"No!" I still denied as I shook my head "that's not true"
"Sel, Do you think I'd lie to you about something like this?" She Asked as she placed a hand on my shoulder "I saw them with my own two eyes, he was supposed to head to melwood but he took a different turn and headed to hilde's apartment instead. I was driving right behind him" she explained, making me snap my head up immediately.
"Oh, so you were stalking him, innit?"
"What? No! Absolutely not!" She defended "Alex left his wallet at home so he called me and asked if I could go give it to him. It was on my way there that I saw Trent's car heading towards hilde's house" she said.
"How sure are you that he was going to her house? Just because he took a different turn doesn't mean that he necessarily was going to her. He could've gone anywhere really" I was in full defense mode at that point.
I don't know why, but what Perrie told me just sounded ridiculous. I know my baby loves me, and I love him too. And we have the type of relationship everyone is dying to have. We've been through so much hell before, and now that we have each other back, why would he want to ruin it? He's not stupid and he's a grown ass man, so there was no way in hell that he would be secretly meeting up with his ex girlfriend. I might've thought about that a little before, but now, I just don't wanna hear it no more. I know he won't do that to me and that's all that matters to me. Nobody has a chance of changing my mind. Not even my best friend.
"Why are you acting like this? I followed him all the way there and I saw him going inside her house, she even came outside and hugged him before they both went back inside" I just rolled my eyes.
"Trent will never do that to me, pez! And you know that very well" I said.
"That's what I thought too, but I saw everything with my naked eyes, and I know my eyes won't lie to me!" She replied.
"I trust Trent just as much as you trust your eyes!" I stated with a serious face "I don't even understand why you're doing this!" I spoke as I ran a hand through my messy hair.
"Doing what?" She Asked.
"Lying to me!"
The look on her face said it all! She was more than hurt.
"What?" She suddenly arose from her seat "you think I'm lying to you?"
"Yeah! Because there's absolutely no way Trent would do something like that. He has proved it many times to me and you know it too. So why are you acting like a hypocrite now?" I was standing face to face with her now as I let my words flow. I could clearly see the tears in her eyes, but the anger she had within was even more visible.
"Selena, Love doesn't mean madness! Just because you're in love with him doesn't mean that you have to be such a bitch to your own best friend!" She spat back before letting out a heavy sigh after a few seconds "you know what? I don't give a fuck anymore! It's my Duty as your best friend to tell you when I see your man with another girl, and I did just that, but since this is how you want to be, then go to hell! Sooner or later, you're gonna find out by yourself anyways!" She ranted as she picked up bed purse from the floor, making me ball my fists as I tried to hold my tongue back.
