Peet's beverage cafe

"Hi, Selena! It's been a long long time!" I heard a voice say, making my eyes widen immediately out of nothing but shock. I hoped dearly that it wasn't who I was thinking it was, I hoped it wasn't who it sounded like, but unfortunately, luck wasn't on my side that day. It was her;

My stone-cold ex best friend; summer ray!

I turned around, almost immediately and met her disgusting hazel eyes. She just stood there, looking with that same old hideous smirk and absolutely not a single hint of repent on her face. Her physical appearance changed drastically; her once luscious, long brown hair was now shoulder length and platinum blonde, she got taller, a lot slimmer and her skin was a bit darker than before.

But Ofcourse, there was one thing that didn't change about her; which was obviously her wretched heart.

"Summer?" I Asked, still taken a back by her sudden appearance.

"That's right, bestie!" She chuckled "did you miss me too? Because I missed you so much!" She added, the sarcasm in her voice was clearly noticeable.

Within the space of some seconds, my mood changed from happy to angry! My nose trills flared up, my fists clenched automatically and my throat tightened up immediately. Even though it's been over 10 months since I last saw summer, it was still quite disturbing. So many horrible images started rushing through my head; things like the time I caught her and Marcus making out, half naked on his bed, and the time she came over to Trent's house and explained all of her intentions to me! Remembering those two incidents still hurt like a bitch. I still couldn't believe that the girl I loved and trusted more than anybody else was the same girl who betrayed me.

"What the fuck are you doing here?" Asked a very angry Trent, earning himself a glare from summer.

"Im pretty sure you have no business with me, so it'll be much appreciated if you shut the hell up!" She snapped back at him, making him growl out of anger.

"You-" he started, trying to get back at her, but I decided to cut him off by holding his arm back as I didn't want things to get out of hand between the two of them. I knew she was just there to get of my nerves, so it would be better if I was the one who handled my own business.

"Listen up, summer! I really don't have time for any of your bullshit anymore! So just cut the crap and get straight to the point!" I spoke with a straight face, crossing my arms in the process as I stood just a few steps away from her, face to face.

"That's not a nice way to speak to your own best friend, is it, Selena?" She replied "but anyways, I'm not here to cause any drama, I'm just here to say hi, spend some time with my "bestie" and talk about life!" She added, doing the inverted comas sign with her fingers when she said the word "bestie"

"That's so sweet of you! But I don't want to spend a single minute with you, let alone talk to you about anything! How about that?" I replied, smirking viciously at her afterwards.

"Let's go, Trent!" I said, taking Trent's hand in mind as we started to make our way towards the exit of the cafe.

"Are you both going to have another make-out session like you've been doing for this whole week?!" Summer yelled, chuckling humorously afterwards, making both Trent and I stop dead in our tracks.

I immediately started to feel small beads of sweat forming on my forehead, my breathing became heavier and my hands started to shake.
Hearing those words come out of summer's mouth, shook the living hell out of me! My whole body became weak and vulnerable in the next second. When I heard her say that, I knew for sure that she had something up her sleeve, I knew for sure that she was up to something, and that would never be good, at least not for me. And the same thing applies to Trent. The look on his face clearly showed that he was even more shaken and taken aback than I was.
