I was happy for Calum, he would have lots of good fun for the week in China, but we would still miss him. I was walking home late that night, feeling a little bit weird from putting Luke’s hair gel on that pizza. I had told Michael and the rest of the guy that it wasn’t a good idea, but of course the wouldn’t listen to me. But boy, had it tasted good at that moment.

I stepped inside my house, starting to sweat a bit, which was weirdo because it was extremely cold outside. “Hey, Ash!” My dad was on the couch as I walked in. “How were the lads?”

"Just like usual." I said, wiping my forehead with the back of my hand.

"Hey, Scrawny." Enter my little brother, Harry, along with my sister, Lauren.

"I’m still older than both of you." I rolled my eyes and went straight for my room at the end of the hall, closing the door behind me as I entered.

I put on ‘The Scientist’ by Coldplay on my iPod, making sure it was loud over the speakers. I took off my shirt and looked at myself in the mirror; nothing but skin and bones. The fact was very embarrassing to me.

I laid down on my bed and stared at the ceiling. the walls were as thin as paper, so anyone could usually hear what everyone else was doing.

We lived in a small, cluttered house. Just my dad, Harry, Lauren, and me. Our mum had left us after Harry was born. I had a few pretty good years with her before she left, but not much to remember. It’s funny how you can’t get too many memories out of eight years if you don’t use it right. Sometimes I felt bad for Lauren because she was surrounded with so much much constant testosterone, but she had our aunt who came down every once and awhile to help out if things got complicated.

I was a cutter. School made me depressed because of the bullies, and then my family didn’t make things much better, but things were getting better. Slowly, but surely.

I fell asleep. I don’t remember the circumstances, but I did. I woke up the next day to my dad pounding on the door.

"Ashton Irwin, you’re going to be late for school if you don’t get going!" He bellowed.

I checked the clock on my nightstand, seven-thirty. I had until to eight to get to class. I bolted up and pulled clothes out of my drawers frantically, trying to find something to wear. Then, I looked down at my arms. They were big and muscular. These couldn’t be my arms. I pinched myself, but I wasn’t dreaming.

I stood in front of the mirror. Something had happened while I was asleep, because suddenly, not to sound cocky, but I was really hot. I had grown a few inches, my hair actually didn’t look half bad, and I was ripped. Six-pack, big arms, I actually had my dream body. What had happened to me last night?

"Ashton!" My dad yelled again.

"Coming, dad!" I answered, then put on a t-shirt. I looked really good for once.

I walked into the kitchen leisurely, Harry was eating cereal at the table and my dad was making coffee.

"Where did Scrawny go?" Harry asked, mouth wide open.

I just chuckled and ran my hand through my hair.Son!” My dad looked at me, wide eyed. “What happened last night?”

"Uh, I wen to bed?" I shrugged.

"Well, you look like bodybuilder, good for you." He handed me cup of coffee. "Hey, can you go get your sister? She’s in the garage, her breakfast is ready."

"What’s she doing in the garage?" I asked.

"She needed some stuff I had on my shelf for her science project." He gestured with his egg-flipping spatula. "Go on."

I set my coffee down on the table and went to the garage, opening the door. “Hey, Lauren,” She was on her tiptoes, digging through a shelf on one of dad’s wobbly shelves.

"Uh huh?" She replied.

"You breakfast-" I began to say, but I saw my dad’s dumb bells that he kept on to of the shelf (don’t ask) begin to roll off the shelf. "Look out!" I exclaimed and down, pushing Lauren out of the way and catching each and every dumb bell in my arms.

My dad and Harry came rushing into the garage, “Is everyone alright?”

"Nice work, Smash." Lauren smirked at me.
