At about seven that night, I went to Belly’s to pick her up for the street fair.I knocked on the door and her dad opened it, her was dressed in a nice brown suit.
"Hello, sir," I smiled. "Is she ready?"
"She’s already left." He looked confused. "One of your friends already stopped by and said the two of them were going to meet you there. I think the lad’s name was Chris?"
I my blood ran cold. Was he going to try and take her from me? I couldn’t risk it. “Did he tell you where they were going to meet the rest of us? I don’t think the guys told me.”
"Um, I think so…" He searched his mind for an answer. "he said something about the base of the ‘Death Drop’ if I remember correctly."
"Thank you, sir!" I called to him as I ran to my car.
I left quickly and drove fast to the street fair. No one that I knew was there at the base yet. I decided to go and wait on the wall by the restrooms that were near the ride. If anyone was going to show up that I knew, I would be able to see them from there.
I stood beneath the overhang and dialed up Luke on my phone. There was ring, and then it went straight to voicemail.
That was weird. It would only do that if his phone was off or dead.
I scrolled through my Instagram feed, when all of a sudden I felt a cloth and hand over my mouth. I breathed in the chemicals that were on the rag, and everything went black.
