Luke had dropped me off at home in my Cal-Pal suit, and I had absolutely no idea what I should do. So, I decided to do some little things for the city, like go clean up the park.

I walked down in my super suit with a plastic garbage bag and a trash-grabber that looked like a robot arm. I picked up paper and garbage around the park, and there was quite a bit. Littering was one of my pet peeves.

"Howdy, stranger," I heard come from behind me. I t was Belly in her big coat and sweatpants, walking towards me.

"Hi," I grinned, blushing a bit. "What’s going on?"

"Noah’s party is tonight," She said. "I don’t really want to go unless I have someone with me who will make it fun."

"Is that you inviting me?" I kissed her, she nodded. "Elle is bringing Ashton, you won’t be entirely alone."

"That’s not what I’m worried about," I stuffed a McDonald’s cup in the trash bag.

"Then what are you worried about?” She asked, shifting her weight.

"I know that sometimes I’m an embarrassment because I’m not as popular as you and your friends. I feel so lucky and astonished to have you."

She took a step closer and kissed me, “You’re not an embarrassment to me. I’ll see you at eight.”

I smiled to myself as I watched her walk away. “I love you!” I called out.

"I love you too, Cal-Pal!" She called back and blew me a kiss, which I pretended to catch and then bring to my heart.

I got rid of my garbage in one of the cans once she was out of sight and then ran home so I could find something to wear. I dashed up the stairs and opened my closet.

I wanted to look good, but I also didn’t want to look like I was trying too hard. In the end, I put on a short sleeved button-up, and then black skinny jeans.

Luke texted me as I put the finishing touches to my look. His message said, “Heard you’re invited to the party. I can pick you up, Bri invited me.” That seemed weird to me, because Luke usually wasn’t the type of guy to go to that kind of party. But I guess that Bri was the kind of person who would get invited. He and Bri were outside in the car when I came outside.

They were in his mum’s car, not the Flukemobile. Bri had changed her hair again, she now had bangs which made her look a lot like Hayley Williams. She was wearing a black and white striped shirt and black skirt.

I got in the back seat, “Thanks for the ride.”

Luke nodded in reply, he was silent as I gave him directions to Belly’s.

Belly kissed me when she got in. She looked hot. She was in a strapless black dress and black heels. “Oh, hi Luke! Did Bri invite you?” Belly asked.

"Yeah," Bri answered for him. "And I got invited by Kenzie, like you did."

We were silent the rest of the drive to the party. Elle and Ashton were outside when we drove up, so we walked in with them.

Luke whispered to Ashton and I, “I just texted Michael. When he gets here, I need to talk to all of you.” We both nodded to him and then went back to enjoying the party. This was the first time I had heard him talk that night.

There was a keg in the front yard and everyone was drinking, talking, or dancing.

So, this was what a party with the popular kids looked like.

Michael showed up with Meg on his hip, and he didn’t look too thrilled to be there. Meg actually looked a little scared to be there.

But then it hit me, the only reason that they could’ve been there together is that they were either working on the project, but he wouldn’t have brought her with him if they had just been working. He had told her who he was.

Luke pulled us upstairs to the laundry room, the only empty room in the house.

"What’s going on?" Ashton asked.

"I told Belly." I blurted out before anyone could say anything. Luke didn’t look happy, but Michael looked relieved as he added, "I told Meg."

"You guys need to learn how to keep secrets." Luke huffed. "But those are definitely not our biggest problems right now."

"Then what could possibly be our biggest problem?" I asked.

"Today Chris came over to work on the project, and he confused my hair gel for Mountain Dew and he drank a whole glass of it."

"What?" Michael asked.

He nodded, “And if it has the same reaction to him that it did to us, he’ll change. Chris will be like us.”

"He’s gonna be a villain by choice, he’ll use his powers for evil. He’s just that kind of guy." Michael said. "We all know this."

"Let’s pray that it doesn’t affect him," I added. "Okay?"

We all agreed and then left the laundry room.

"Everything okay?" Belly asked me, she had been waiting at the bottom of the stairs.

"Never better," I replied. But I had a feeling that everything was about to go painfully wrong.
