Luke sent us all an emergency group text around seven, we all met up at his house in his rom as soon as we could, although Michael was a little later than the rest of us because of the reading.
"So, what’s going on?" He sat down on the bed next to Ashton.
Luke cleared his throat, “The reason I called this meeting was because something happened with my powers.”
"Are you okay?" I asked.
He nodded, “Yes, but Bri isn’t.”
My eyes got wide and so did the rest of the boys’, except for Luke of course.
"Look, guys," Luke said. "She isn’t hurt. I went over to her house today and nobody else was home, so we started making out. Then, there was a lid noise and I went out to go look. Someone had broken into the house. I caught him and tied him up, but she was me use my powers. She sad she wouldn’t tell. She knows that I fight people with other guys, but I didn’t say any of your names. She only knows about me."
"How is she in danger than?" Ashton asked.
"When we started this, we knew we were going to make friends and enemies. If any enemy find out that she’s linked to us in any way, Bri could get hurt." Luke replied.
"I almost told Meg who I was tonight," Michael blurted out. "She only knows me as the Mike-Ro-Wave, and I really want her to know me as regular Michael too."
"But you can’t," I said. "And I can’t tell Belly. And Ashton, if you go telling your deepest secrets with Elle, you cannot say a word."
"I’ve already dodged the questions from her once," Ashton kicked around the backpack at his feet.
"And no parents can know either," Luke added. "Cal, I know you have good relationships with both of your parents, so try to work through this well. I know you can."
I nodded as a reply, it broke my heart, but no one could know. But now that Bri was in this, I didn’t know how we were going to make this work.
"Also, I called us 5 Seconds of Summer, because I thought it was a pretty cool name." Luke said.
"I like that," I replied. and we all nodded in agreement.
After the meeting, I got a text from Belly, talking about how she wanted to meet at the park. She was sitting on the end of the slide when I walked up, her face broke into a smile as soon as she saw me.
"Hey, Cal," She kissed me. I kissed her back, but not as passionate as usual. "Are you okay?" She asked.
No, not really, I wanted to say. I was worried about Bri finding out my real identity and telling everyone. “Yeah,” I lied, putting my arm around her as we began to walk.
