“Gods, where should I look for Amanda? Please tell me if she’s safe! Please tell me she is!” Jeremy prayed on the forest floor, where he had landed on his winged sandals after giving up all hope of successfully following that strange dragon, “Fates, please protect her! Leave me here to die if you will, but protect her!”
He sank to his knees, “Please. PLEASE! IF YOU CAN HEAR ME, FATHER, PLEASE FIND HER! OR AT LEAST GIVE ME MEANS OF DOING IT MYSELF!” Tears burst through his bright red eyes, and at last, his heart gave way, “Please, Father,” he whispered, bowing his head, “I love her. I would give my life for her.”
And with that, Jeremy bravely stood up, reached into his pocket, and grabbed out the cube Hestia gave him. He threw it at the ground, and out popped a mansion the size of the white house. Jeremy gaped in awe, but even that wasn’t enough to lift him out of his deep sorrow and despair.
He walked into his temporary home, grabbed out the basket of food Demeter gave the duo, and started chomping, before running to the nearest room, lying on the bed, and started crying until he fell into a deep, restless sleep.
