Destiny Awaits

Liviors vision was blurred with every color imaginable as he was whisked through the space within the portal. After what seemed like an eternity he finally materialized in the courtyard of a beautiful crystalline palace. There were spires that reached higher than Livior could see. The sunlight split through the crystal creating rainbows everywhere Livior looked. The crystal was every color of the rainbow blue, green, yellow, red and more. When he was finally able to draw his attention toward the ground he saw several first born standing in front of him. Most appeared to be guards wearing the same robes the villagers wore. One man stood out above the rest. The king, Livior assumed, wore a crown of golden crystal on his head, robes the color of rose petals and a cloak as teal as the skies above. He was just as frail looking as the other first born physically but had an almost glow to his skin. His hair was jet black and he appeared to be ancient well beyond Welprom. His eyes were the color of sterling silver and looked to sparkle. He had a very stern expression on his face that reminded him of Genia when she would get upset with he and his father for horsing around too much.

Suddenly Livior realized he should greet the king and he took a step forward but his knees gave out on him and he collapsed toward the ground. The king for being a man of such extraordinarily advanced age moved faster than even a forest elf and caught Livior before he hit the ground. For someone so frail looking he was remarkably strong as well. Livior struggled to regain his footing and finally managed with the kings help. Then he stood and closed his fist and placed it at the front of his waist and said "Greetings great King I am humbled to be in your presence." King Belam seemed pleased by his offering the correct greeting and responded with his fist at his waist level and said "The honor is mine to have such an esteemed guest in our midst."

Livior then said "Thank you for your aid your majesty I am still recovering from my last battle with Norvells assassins and spies. I apologize if assisting me may have caused you any physical discomfort."

King Belam smiled warmly and said "It was my pleasure to offer assistance in your time of need. It has caused me no discomfort and I am grateful for your apology albeit unnecessary. I have prepared a feast in your honor to help you regain your strength but first I must ask the pleasure of your company alone for a short time. Your family and dragon friend will be well cared for and protected as if they were my own children so fear not."

Livior smiled and said "I am not sure I can walk that far at present on my own your majesty but I will endeavor to with as much haste as possible and follow your lead."

King Belam smiled again and stepped up beside Livior and said "Please place your arm on my shoulders and allow me to carry some of your burden."

Livior replied "Thank you your majesty I am most grateful for your continued assistance."

Livior then placed his arm on King Belams shoulders and the king placed his arm around Liviors waist. The two of them slowly made their way into the castle and into the throne room. King Belam walked Livior right up to his throne and backed Livior against his throne. Livior then said "Oh your majesty I am honored but it would not be right for me to sit upon your throne. I would be fine sitting on the steps before it."

King Belam did not give Livior a choice and pushed him back into his throne and said "I sit on that throne enough I am perfectly content to share it with you for a brief time while we speak. Now then, I assume you are at least partially familiar with the prophesy that foretells of your being the savior of my race?"

Livior replied "I am only vaguely but I have heard what you just said."

King Belam then said "Do you also know that there are many MORE prophesies about you that are not known even to my peoples general public?"
