Too Much To Do And No Time To Spare
Livior awoke the next morning remembering the night before and immediately felt overwhelmed. He had five days to recover and learn the wedding ceremony and on top of that he had his training and now everyone trying to get him married in record time himself. He thought "How is anyone supposed to get so much accomplished in such a short amount of time. Even if he found a woman he liked he was not sure he was ready for marriage and children yet. He still felt like a child himself at times. He knew that he had no choice on the marriage front after what his mother told him but the thought of rushing to meet and get to know somebody felt wrong to him. Trying to do that now when he had four years of training ahead of him in the magical arts as well as, he was sure, several more years of lessons on matters of state, diplomacy and military tactics and regulation to learn. With all that to learn he had no idea how he would do it by the time he was supposed to fight Norvell. He hoped they would grant him an exception seeing as he had so much on his plate already and his condition but he knew they wouldn't. They just kept piling more on and he knew with much more pressure he would break. He lay in bed quietly trying to calm himself and order his thought before he let anyone know he was awake.
Finally he decided to try to get dressed himself even though he was not supposed to. He used his magic to bring a set of gray robes to him and switched his tunic for his robes. Then he lifted himself with his magic and switched his pantaloons. Finally he put on his belt, necklace and crown and grabbed his staff. Finally he called out for Shriv and Vahlt. When they walked in the looks on their faces were shock and outrage with a hint of pride. They ranted at him the entire way to the dining room and sat him gently as ever in his seat even though they were angry at him. When Genia came in with the last of the food asking what all the commotion was about they told her without hesitation. She was also angry and ranted for a while before finally putting Liviors plate in front of him. Livior knew if she force fed him again he would have no help from them but Dira and her pack seemed ready to help. After his third plate Genia put a fourth down and one of Diras pack went over lifted his leg on Genias chair and leg which distracted everyone as Livior dumped the contents of his plate into Diras open mouth. Then she moved away quickly so nobody would know. Finally Livior scooted his chair back and said "I have a lot to do today so if you two are not going to help me I will move myself with my magic healers orders be damned. You all are the ones who put this time crunch on me and are pushing me to meet all these women who I assume are already here or on their way soon so I need to move now. I don't have time for fifteen plates of food and to listen to you all rant about me not waiting for help. I mean to get started now with or without you. Enough is enough, I'm on the verge of exploding with all the extra stuff being thrown at me so please let me do what I need to do to at least maintain a shred of dignity."
They all looked shocked and did not move so Livior started to raise himself with his magic at which point Vahlt and Shriv jumped up and got under his shoulders. They all cursed at him again and ranted but were moving. Livior then said "Thank you."
They made their way down the hall to Belams chambers where they found Garyth already waiting with him outside. Livior greeted them and they him. Livior then repeated everything Genia told him about the marriage rules and asked if it was all true. Belam told him it was and assured him he would be married at the age of fifteen no matter what so to take these meetings very seriously with the ladies. Livior groaned again which made Shriv and Vahlt laugh almost dropping him. After an hour walking around touring the city a guard ran up to them saying a group of almost thirty human women had just arrived. Livior told him to assign them chambers in the palace and to make a schedule for him to meet with each for at least an hour each during the next week arranging them around his rehabilitation and training. If need be he told the guard schedule a private dinner or lunch in the dining room behind the throne room. The guard then ran off to set the schedule. Livior said "This is insane thirty human women and mother you requested at least twenty. How many did you request Garyth? I'm going to be spending every free moment I have for the next month if not longer getting to know more women than I could even possibly remember. If I start to scream somebody cast a sound dampening spell please."
