Chapter 16

A Royal Wedding

The next morning Livior woke with his face so sore, he realized he must have smiled all night in his sleep. He got up and bathed and dressed in his royal purple robes and decided to carry his staff today rather than let it stay hidden. He placed his crown on his head and strutted out of his room whistling a tune that was played at the reception the night before. When he reached the dining hall he found everyone already sitting at the table waiting for him. He smiled brightly and said very cheerfully "Good morning everyone I hope you all slept well."

Everyone turned and looked at him twirling his staff around strutting toward the table and laughed hysterically. Shriv said "By the gods he's still smiling, he was like that all night after saying good night to you Minnett."

Minnett said "Is that so Livior? Have you been in this good a mood ever since our good night kiss last night?"

Livior did not think it possible but he knew he was smiling even brighter and said "That is absolutely true my lady. I shall not tell a lie I have been smiling ever since, even in my sleep which has left my face a bit sore but it is worth the discomfort."

Minnett chuckled and walked over to him took his staff and led him by the arm to his chair and told him to sit while still trying to look serious even though she was smiling as well. Livior sat and looked at Genia and said "Any chance of speeding up the process on the wedding?"

Minnett even stopped mid bite and looked at him seemingly astonished as everyone else was particularly Genia remembering how opposed to getting married he was less than a week ago. Genia said smiling "I'm afraid not son, it takes time to inform everyone in Theressia of your impending nuptials. You have friends you have never even heard of who wish to be present to share in your good fortune. From what the other monarchs tell me all that will be left in their cities is a skeletal crew of guards which worries them but they understand every ones excitement. The portal makers are working overtime already getting people here even though the wedding is still three days away. The people of the city are already removing everything from Vahlt and Mivias wedding so they can begin getting ready for yours. Which reminds me Minnett you have an appointment in one hour at the best boutique in Livioria to figure out what you want your dress and accessories to look like and I have to officially name you queen before the court so your father can place your tiara on your head before the wedding. Jorrett I will need you to come to court with me this morning if you are able."

Jorrett said "I am and I would be honored to accompany you."

Genia then said "Thank you. Mivia and Cindrell I assume you will want to accompany Minnett to the boutique am I right?"

Cindrell and Mivia both said yes and Genia continued and gave Livior, Vahlt and Shriv a very stern scary look and said "You three are to go to the dress robe shop and have your measurements taken. Once Minnett chooses the colors of her dress your robes will be made to match. I will take Jorrett after we finish in court. After that us ladies have to sit down with the court and plan the food, decorations and everything else. You Livior will have some papers to sign granting Minnett her title as queen which will be held until the wedding is complete. You will also have to sign papers turning over control of the kingdom to her in the unlikely event of your death before you have a child who is of age as well as I need you to all look over the official guest list and make sure we have invited everyone you wish to attend. Now Livior get your spells done now so that if you need it your sister can give you a hand."

Livior laughed and went over to Genia kissed her on the forehead and patted her stomach saying "I've got this one sis you just relax."

Everyone laughed then Livior stood behind Jorrett and Cindrell and placed a hand on each of their shoulders and once again he began to glow bright pink and within minutes they felt a surge of love and energy pour into them. Livior opened his eyes smiled down at them and said "Only one member of the family left to be immortal so to speak, dad are you ready? It's quite painful as anyone will attest they just maintained their composure."
