Chapter 17

New Additions arrive

The next morning Livior awoke to see Minnett leaning on her arms next to him smiling at him. Livior smiled back as he stretched and said "Good morning my love, did you sleep well?"

Minnett smiled back and said "Good morning my husband I slept very well thank you. Can you feel it?"

Livior looked curiously at her and asked "Can I feel what?"

Minnett took his hand and placed it on her stomach and said "Open your mind and feel our sons presence."

Livior closed his eyes and concentrated and within seconds he felt the presence she spoke of and his eyes popped open. He looked at her and said "It really is happening, we are parents. Strangely though I don't feel as scarred as I did before, I feel.....ready although maybe a bit unprepared. We need to prepare the nursery and make the chambers safe for a baby. I can't believe mom and dad have not already begun."

Minnett smiled and said "I felt the same way although we have time, for a while we will keep the baby in here with us so we can more quickly get to him."

Livior gently put his hand on Minnetts stomach and said "We can't wait to meet you Kent."

They went on about the baby for over an hour making plans and then Livior started rearranging the baby gifts trying to sort through them so they were ready to be moved into the nursery. Livior then smiled and told Minnett "I think today I will clear one of the bedrooms out with some help and prepare the nursery for...our son."

Minnett laughed and said "We will both help then. I do not want to leave your side any time soon."

Livior smiled ear to ear and said "Neither do I my love I want to keep you by my side for all eternity but you will sit and supervise as will mom and Mivia."

After a little longer Minnett convinced him they should bathe and join the family for breakfast which Livior somewhat reluctantly agreed because he would have been perfectly happy to stay there just the two of them, or three now, all day and simply enjoy each others company. So they went and bathed together which they both found enjoyable and were dressed. Livior placed Minnetts taira on her head when she was ready and she placed his crown on his head. Livior extended his staff and extended his arm to her smiling as he did and she beamed back taking it. They opened the doors and stepped out. As they reached the main hall everyone saw them while setting the table and said "Good morning!"

Livior and Minnett replied beaming ear to ear "Good morning everyone."

Livior pulled out the seat to his right to which Minnett sat thanking him. Then she said to Livior quietly "You should do the honors and tell them."

Liviors smile became even bigger if possible and Livior said "We have an announcement to make. "Our first born son Kent is now with us and will be born in two months."

The ladies all screamed with glee and ran over embracing him and then Minnett. The men came over and clapped him on the shoulders and backs expressing their happiness and excitement over the coming joy. Livior looked at Vahlt and said "So uncle Vahlt, do you think you will be ready to at least be an uncle in two months?"

Vahlt laughed and said "As an uncle my job is similar to mom and dads, I get to spoil them and leave the hard work for you two which I'm perfectly happy to do."

Livior laughed and said "I'll remember that when my nephew arrives."

Throughout breakfast Genia and Cindrell pilled Minnetts plate repeatedly with food until Livior finally said "If you force her to eat much more the food will crush my son or make her sick, now let her be and let her eat what she will."
