...

the night went on... and eukwang was endlessly thanking Sungjae for his heroic deed, all he knew was base on what Irene had told him which was "Sungjae was about to surprise his girlfriend when Joy suddenly collapse, and he took her to the hospital" which made Eukwang felt a little guilty for ruining Sungjae's event that night, so he kept thanking him for saving his sisters life, Joy, Seeing her brother thanking Sungjae with glisten tears in his eyes brought her to the realization that her brother doesn't know anything... he doesn't know anything about her affairs with her Sungjae, but she chooses to keep her silence and was not too sure whether to tell him about it or not... not because she wants to keep it hidden from her brother but because she's still confuse about the status of her relationship with Sungjae, what she doesn't know Sungjae this time is more committed to keep her, he wants to protect her, he doesn't wanna hurt her, she's more fragile than he thought she is, when he was leaving the hospital he remembered Sohyun he left her without saying something...

"shit!!!" he cursed...

Which made him feel guilty, he was rude for leaving her just like that, so he went back to her penthouse, he endlessly apologize to her, because he doesn't want to give her bad impressions she's still Sohyun after all... his childhood befriends, and glad to know Sohyun was genuinely concern about Joy,

"oh my god! I'm so glad that you brought her right away Sungjae'ya! How is she?"

"she's okay now... I'm so sorry for leaving you just like that... now I ruined that surprise..."

"it's okay! Don't be sorry you should be proud you just saved someone's life today!"

"thank you..."

"no! thank you for the surprise! You really make me feel special just like when we were kid's you remember that horrible cake you bought me from the cafeteria..."

Both of them laugh at the memory, Sungjae was still apologizing for leaving her that way, but she assured him that it wasn't really his fault and that she's glad he immediately took her to the hospital... she's too kind for people, in fact she wanted to visit Joy at the hospital but Sungjae assured her that she's okay... and kept talking her out of it, he doesn't want Joy to feel or get the wrong idea too so it's better not to let Sohyun go there he thought... and As much as he likes Sohyun too he's letting the old feelings go, and decides to just keep his friendship with Sohyun and not to go further anymore, because for now, he feels responsible for Joy, and he feels more for her than for his childhood friend, both of them talked till dawn laughing together reminiscing and catching up for their lost time...

The weekend pained Sungjae to death, he wanted to go and visit her to the hospital but he has no valid reason on what to say to eukwang... he knew eukwang wouldn't leave her alone, he kept visiting... her secretly but every time he peeks inside her room eukwang was there, worries overwhelmed him day by day, the longer the days stretched the more worry he grew, he doesn't know what is happening to her,... so he decided to keep tract of her by sending one of his maids to the hospital to keep the updates about her condition, he also send her gifts with no card, which made Joy knew who it came from, which is at the same times it made her feel a little annoyed how come he hasn't come to visit her, does he really like her? Does he care? Or does he only liked her but not enough to care about her? She's too confused thinking all sorts of possible reasons, until Irene arrives

"you forgot this in my car... are you feeling better now?" She uttered while handing her, her bag,

"thank you eonnie, yes I feel much better now,"
