"come in!" he opens the door letting her in, Joy hesitated but she has no choice but to comply

"Might as well make my time worthwhile, so where is Sami?" she asked in a nonchalant voice, but Sungjae almost laughs at her

"she's not here..." her eyes grew, shifting her gaze to him as if asking him if he's joking

"she's not here, that's what I've been trying to tell you earlier"

"What!!?" she almost shouted in annoyance "Is anyone else here?"

"no, it's just you and me" she gasps and immediately steps back and started to walk back to the foyer but Sungjae stops her "hey! hey!"

"I can't stay here!" she added and she started to wear her shoes back slowly

"be my guest if you want to get caught outside" she stops glaring at him, she knew he was right she didn't have a choice but to stay there, the police won't allow her either way.

"don't assume that I like this either," he uttered leaving her in the foyer. she hated him, she wanted to curse but she has no choice! it's his house now, her eyes widen remembering that it's his house now? she asks herself again, that question she wanted to ask him, this would be the best and only time she's got, she started to take off her shoes again, leaving it in the shoe rack, and she went inside everything was silent that moment, while Sungjae now sitting on the couch, on the corner of the living room with his hands on his lips his eyes trails down to her shadow. He was now wearing a shirt on and a simple boxer's short, he didn't want to make it obvious to her that's he's weighing about something, something that has been hurting his heart for years now,

leaving him for another guy, cheating on him, lying to him is not acceptable, he balls his fist hard revealing the veins in his hands cascading throughout his arms. He hated the gut of that man,

she nervously sits on the other side corner of the living room, whilst, her eyes wander around the place. Her mind is traveling in her memory's way back, she misses her brother. What she didn't realize that while her mind was trailing off to somewhere, her eyes were glued to his eyes unintentionally, it was pierced like a predator watching his prey, as herself slowly begun to come back to where she was really at that moment, her vision unblurred revealing his eyes to her, she felt so vulnerable that moment, Sungjae was pissed and she knew that, she wanted to utter some words, but nothing came out from her mouth. it was like that moment ceased only for them to stare into each other's eyes like a contest.

Sungjae didn't realize it too but he wanted to hurt her that moment, well not physically, at least he wanted her to feel the pain that he had been feeling through all these years. Questions in his mind running all at once like why? why did she lie about her pregnancy? the secret man in her life? why did she have to do that to him? what was his fault? is it simply, because she was just a random gold digger who had him pinned to her trap?

Joy couldn't utter any word, the room was suffocating, both of them were thinking about something, she had snaps suddenly and she stood up

"c... ca.can I use the comfort room?" she stuttered as both of her hands was visibly shaking, Sungjae wanted to scoff at the woman who was standing in front of him, he gestures her to the comfort room, which she already knew where it was. why is she acting that way? does she have to act like an innocent damsel in distress? didn't she forget what she did to him? he didn't know what he was feeling at that moment but it was mix and it was a mess. He wanted to confront her... he needed to. So, he's decided? he went to the comfort room he stares at the door to where she was in, lifting his fist as if he's going to knock the door but he stops, it was a weird feeling he had, he was nervous, he was nervous to see her reaction is he right about her? why does he even bother trying to prove that he's wrong? If only he's wrong? Wrong all about his assumptions towards her, but there was only a tiny glimmer of hope that's been clinging onto him right that moment but somehow, he shakes his head he at least he thought there was, but he knew his hopes were long gone with the past.
