The little, fluffy puppies were all over us. Some jumping, some shyly sniffing, and some even tugging on our pants! In a corner,we saw Golden Retrievers,Terriers,Samoyeds...
There were so many dogs and puppies!
Me and Annie looked at each other, the second I looked away,Annie was gone. I searched for her around the room, and found her cuddling with the Yorkshire Terriers jumping and barking. I looked around, but couldn't find what I was looking for.
Just then,I felt something on my leg. I jerked and looked back. I saw a puppy, desperately trying to scamper away because of the noise I made. I picked it up and calmed it by running my fingers through its fur.
It fell asleep on my lap. Just then,I realized that it was a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, just the dog I was wishing for. When I looked over to Annie,I saw that she, too, had a puppy on her lap. It was so small, yet so full of character! It was biting her sweater and barking, even howling!
The puppy on MY lap, however, was about twice the size yet it was happily snoozing away on my lap, barely moving.
From what I learned, the puppies me and Annie picked up were both girls,so we chose the names accordingly. "I'm calling you Vanilla," Annie softly said. "You like that, don't you,Nilla-Billa?" That was a cute nickname she had given her puppy.
"You're Latte,do you like that, girl?" I slowly said. The puppy lifted its head, and looked into my eyes. I took that as a yes. My mom got us dog supplies, and we headed back home with our little pooches.
