The next day,I went to school. I did not know what had happened. Annie gave me "the look"and I just rolled my eyes. I thought she was overreacting. Marie came up to me and Annie, smiling cheerfully at us. Annie's face got bright red,as if she was about to explode. She just wanted to chat with us,and said she made a recipe for bite size burritos, and offered some to us. Annie violently pushed them away, yet I shook my head at the very sight and politely took one from the plate. It tasted like nothing I've ever had before. Just a tiny bit tangy and kind of hot. There was also a dash of sweetness to it.
Before I knew it,Marie was gone. She went over to talk to the popular kids, and all of a sudden, started laughing hysterically. All the girls joined her,as if they were looking at a joke.
I turned around, and Annie's face went pale. She was pointing at my face. She grabbed my arm and pushed me into the bathroom. I shrieked when I saw myself. I had turned a yellow-ish color, with itchy rashes on my face that looked red.
I took a second look at the half-eaten burrito, and noticed little red and yellow specs of peppers. That was why...
Annie gave Marie a look as if saying "you'll pay for this" while Marie,on the other hand, innocently smiled at her.I took the bus home, but Annie went somewhere else that I did not know about.
"Hey,Marie!"
- Serena! Nice to see you. I got the deaf one cornered, what do we do next?
- Let's take her to a party!
-WHAT?! Are you kidding me?! Why are we taking that loser to a party?
- Shut up and listen: We're gonna get her so drunk that she won't know what she is doing or saying. Snap a few pics, take a video, and boom. There goes her feelings.
-Serena,you're a genius!
