All of a sudden,Annie hung up on me. I got kind of mad, because I was about to give her a long lecture about how she should be grateful for her life. I guess she saw that coming. All of a sudden, someone randomly started knocking on the door.

I put on my stern face and went down stairs to open the door. I opened the door with a frown, yet who I saw made me forget about the incident. You know why? Because it was Annie! She had hung up on me so that she could visit me.

I welcomed her into the house apologizing for my stern face and the messy house. Her reply was classic Annie. "Oh my god, stop acting like a hotel receptionist!" She signed. Yep, the Annie I knew was back.

So she told me about all the stuff, and how she woke up from the coma a day ago,and all the blood tests and tubes and scary machines. Getting the machines in was not too big of a problem, since she was in a coma, yet getting them out,as she had described to me,felt like being stabbed backwards,in slow motion.

I have her the long lecture about how she shouldn't do it ever again and then she started acting foolish again. She closed her ears, signing "I can't hear you" then laughed, and signed:"I can't even hear, and you're not even talking, why don't we just end the pain,Lilac?" I started to get mad. "You are going too far,Annie. I'm never ever letting you commit suicide again!" Annie just shrugged and signed:"You know, when life gets too hard,it's best to let go." I signed back, infuriated. "No,no it isn't! Sometimes you just have to not only hear, but LISTEN to your heart. And you are definately NOT listening to your heart now!" I emphasized that part without even noticing what I had done. She just signed "I can't even hear,if that's what you mean." and slammed the door. What have I done?
