I sincerely apologize for the last chapter I felt like I had a deadline for some reason so I rushed it and I feel like it came out sooo bad. Hopefully this chapter makes up for it :))

Ava's POV

A road trip? I'm not sure why Sara would even suggest something like that. Not that that's such a terrible idea. I've always wanted to take some kind of long trip. But every time i think about going on one with her I keep coming back to the point that we barely know each other. I'd go on a road trip with Amaya because I've known her for so long. I just met Sara Saturday and the events that happened between us normally don't lead to a platonic road trip. But I can't tell her all of this, I'll seem like an asshole.

"I'll think about it." Was all I said.

I think she knew what I really wanted to say by the look on her face.

"Aves you can say no. I just thought you and I have nothing to do so let's do something. No pressure."

I like the way Sara makes me comfortable... in most situations. I expected her to beg me to go on a road trip with her and give me all these reasons why I should. But she's much more mature than that and I should give her more credit.

"It's not that I don't like you." I say and she looks at me head cocked. "I mean I don't like you, romantically." She keeps her eyes on me. "I don't not want to go on a road trip with you because I don't enjoy your company. It's because I barely know you. If we were to get closer I'd think about it. Actually think about it." She nodding and I could tell she understood.

"Hypothetically speaking if we did, where would you want to go?"

I don't even know. Of course there are the classic places like the Grand Canyon, the White House, the Eiffel Tower, and the Hollywood sign. Then there's cities you visit just to say you have like New Orleans, Chicago, and Las Vegas. But I've never really liked going to a specific place and then turning back around and going home.

"Have you ever heard the song PCH?" Sara shakes her head.

"Well it's referencing the Pacific Coast Highway. I'd probably want to drive along that highway and then go to the beach at night."

"That's a good answer. I thought you were gonna say something lame like the Great Lakes."

I mean the Great Lakes would be cool to visit.

3rd person POV

Sara and Ava's friendship has built by a considerable amount. They've both slept over at each other's houses without anymore funny business. Obviously meaningless flirting but that just what friends do. They've hung out with Sara's friend group, now their friend group, a lot; at least twice a week whenever they don't have anything important to do. Surprisingly it doesn't bother Ava, that much social interaction would normally drain her introverted body. But it hasn't, it's been really easy and everyone is so inviting to her and Amaya. Nate and Amaya got together in the middle of June and finally let go of their fantasy that Sara and Ava will get together. Jax moved to California because his mom got a job offer that paid much more than her one here. It was an emotional goodbye but Jax promised to come visit us when he gets better at driving and actually gets his own car. Life is pretty good for everyone in their friend group besides the fact that Sara and Ava are the only single one's in the group. Sara and John talked for a brief moment but that ended quickly after they both figured out it was just sexual tension and they handled it. Ava's talking to a girl named Jade who graduated this year but it's nothing serious yet. Ava actually really likes her and has talked to Sara and Amaya about it when they came over to her house a couple times. But she has been subtle about it because if she talks like they'll get together she'll start to think they will; and if they don't Ava will be heartbroken. So she's super chill about things. Ava is going to spend the night at Sara's tonight and then tomorrow they are going to take Sara's 5 year old cousin, Stephanie, to the park. She's been staying with Sara because her mom is visiting her parents in Florida. Sara only agreed to do it because she's getting paid. Classic Sara. Laurel moved into an apartment with Ollie like they had talked about so Stephanie has been staying her old room. Sara does have moments where she really misses Laurel but the good news is she finally has her own car.
