Ava's POV
"Do you think they liked me? I feel like I was talking a lot. I was just really nervous." Jade says pacing back and forth.
My parents got back a day after Jade and I, you know, did "it". Well when she did "it" to me. That was a week ago. Now that they've met and they like her, and I know they do, I'm planning on asking her to be my girlfriend.
We had lunch with my parents at their job because it's the middle of the week and they rarely get home early enough for a proper diner. So Korean food in a conference room was Jade and their's first official conversation.
"They liked you trust me, I know my parents. My mom was smiling the entire time and my dad raised his eyebrow when you were talking about school. If nothing else they're very interested in you."
I plug my phone in and place it on my nightstand.
"I thought he did that in a "wtf is this girl talking about" type of way." She says sounding a little bit relieved.
"Can I wear this shirt?"
I turn around and she's holding up my Fresh Prince t-shirt up against her body.
"Of course. I'm gonna hop in the shower really quick then we can nap before we go."
We're all going to Amaya's to watch It chapter two which she downloaded illegally. It's not technically movie night but no one can turn down a good scary movie.
I walk into my bathroom and turn the water on. Then I strip down and put my hair into a bun because I don't need to wash it today.
I really love taking showers, I love the feeling of my muscles relaxing under the hot water and the way the water stings just a little bit. It gets so easy to get lost in the feeling. A knock brings me back from my out of body experience.
"Yea?" I scream through the door.
Jade peaks her head around the door and eyes my body for a second.
"They're blowing up your phone asking if you're still bringing snacks."
"Yea I will, tell them to send what they want."
She types it into my phone and sends it then eyes me again smiles and walks out, closing the door behind her.
After I've washed thesoap off of my body I get out and grab a fluffy towel from my bathroom closet. I walk out and Jade is on my phone ankles crossed laying on my bed. Whatever she's doing she looks really focused.
"What are you so focused on?"
"Subway surfers. I'm about to beat your high score."
I laugh a little and let my hair down.
"Actually that's Sara's high score. She's so obsessed with that game. When broke her phone at the end of the year she used mine everyday for two weeks in physics."
"How long have you and Sara been friends?"
"End of April I believe." I say pulling on my jean shorts.
"And you gave her your password?" I could sense jealousy with a little anger.
"She asked. Plus when I say she's obsessed with that game I'm not joking."
"You two seem pretty close."
I can really sense the jealousy now.
"Yeah we kinda are."
"If I asked you to not be friends with her would you?"
I knew Jade was a little jealous of Sara when I told her about what happened between us. I could also sense the jealousy just now, I thought she'd just need some reassurance; I didn't think she'd ask me to drop someone I'm so close to.
