11. Babe

Sara's POV

"Aves I have to tell you something."

My stomach was doing flips. I knew telling her this is what I should do for me, but what about her. How would this impact her? What about us? What about her and Jade? Yea sure I don't like her but Ava does and that's all that matters.

I owe Ava the truth, the whole truth. All good relationships: platonic, romantic, or professional are built off of trust. If I can so easily betray her trust she could do the same. What if when I tell her later and she gets mad I didn't tell her sooner?

My mind is spinning with maybes and what if's. That in addition to the fact I think I might throw up is not helping me right now.

I look at her blue eyes that are filled with anticipation, waiting for me to say what can possibly be so important. I see her jaw is clench so I must've really stressed her out which I hate.

"I don't know how good my swimming skills are in this state so keep an eye on me at Wally's." Her entire body visibly relaxes.

"I'm not the strongest swimmer but I'll do what I can." She says with a slight smile.

Her phone rings in her back pocket and she pulls it out. She sits up and puts the phone to her ear.

"Hey."

"Who is it?" I ask her. She turns to me puts and puts the phone on speaker for me to hear.

"-Zari asked Leo and he said he knows where she is and he'll bring her to us. Where are you at so we can go to Tommy's?" I heard Jade's smooth deep voice through Ava's phone; the music wasn't crazy loud so I'm guessing she's outside.

"I'm actually with Sara right now." Ava replies to her.

"Where was she? Is she ok?"

I hate how concerned she is. She doesn't even know me and she's concerned. Just another reason why Ava likes her and not me.

"Uhhhh." Ava looks at me and mouths "what do I say" to me.

"I passed out in some room a couple of my friends were smoking in. Aves here was trying to find a restroom and rescued me." I answered for Ava considering I'm a much better liar.

"Well good thing she found you. Amya is calling an Uber but we're probably going to have to lap up." I really hope I won't have to sit next to Jade.

I had enough of hearing Jade's voice and decided to do something about it. I grabbed Ava's phone out of her hand and took action.

"We'll be in the front in a minute. Okay? Ok. Bye." I said very fast not giving her time to respond hanging up immediately after.

Ava rather than ask questions just laughed it off and stood up.

She extended both of her arms so that I could stand up off of the bed. I grabbed her hands and pulled myself up. Then was pulled into an unexpected, but welcomed, hug.

I love hugging Ava. Not fully because I love Ava, and not fully because her boobs are in a perfect position so we fit like puzzle pieces. But because every time I hug her I feel her giving me her all. It's never a half hug, always full of emotion.

"Don't ever scare me like that again dumbass." She says.

"Avessss," I whine at her. She's standing on the peer with her arms crossed.

"Jump in the water is perfect."

We went to Tommy's and apparently it wasn't the kind of party we thought. It was more of a suit and tie party. So he graciously got us a limo to Wally's. All though I'm sure he only did it to get the half naked teenaged out of Merlyn manor, I still appreciate the gesture.
