I've rewritten this chapter about six times because I wanted it to be perfect but it ended up being all over the place and I think it has the best concept of all of my chapters but the worst writing I've ever done. This is the LAST CHAPTER but make sure you read my next A/N for a sneak peak.

Super long chapter so enjoy it. Please. If you don't that's fine too I guess.

**LOTS OF SMUT BECAUSE I HAD A FEW PEOPLE SAY THEY LIKE IT**

**MENATL ILLNESS TRIGGER WARNING**

Sara's POV

You know how sometimes you're dreaming, but you know you're dreaming and you have the ability to wake yourself up but reality could never come close the the peace and safety you feel? That's what I'm feeling. It's like I have half my body in a dream state and half in the real world.

I can feel Ava's arms wrapped around me. I can feel her new weighted blanket keeping us warm. At the same time I feel weightless, like if the real world were to shift I'd lose my grip and would happily float into my dream.

It did shift. But rather than fly I was woken up. By big, sloppy, wet kisses. From a dog.

Aves and I groan in disgust but also from having to wake up. "I thought your parents weren't coming back for three days." I say dazed from sleep but I find the strength to push Rascal off the bed.

"They aren't." She pulls me further into her chest, her lack of reaction lets me know she's more asleep than I am.

"Who let him inside then?" I wait a few seconds for a response. "Ok. No. You sleep and I'll check the house. Glad we worked that out." I pull out of her arms and kiss her cheek making her smile.

"My hero." She says sweetly then rolls over so the sun isn't in her eyes, even though they're closed.

I grab Ava's hoodie so I don't walk into a potential burglar bare chested. Pants don't seem as necessary to me so I grab my phone and the dog's collar. Walking him out of her room and quietly closing the door.

"Look." I tell him just above a whisper and he takes off trotting.

He went through a lot of training because Ava's parents knew that eventually they'd have to travel a lot and security alarms aren't full proof. 'Look' means check the house for strangers.

It normally takes about 30 seconds so when I don't hear aggressive barking I know there are no hostiles. I don't yell to ask if anyone is there or anything because that's a classic horror movie mistake.

I walk through the living room to the front but Ava's parents' keys aren't on the table so I know it's not them.

"Hey." Someone says from behind me and I flinch just a little. I turn and it's Amaya. She noticed my confused look and she pulls a key out of her pocket. "For emergencies." She says.

"Is someone hurt?" I follow her into the kitchen.

"No. Why?" She says.

"You said emergency so I assumed someone's hurt." I say in a 'duh' tone.

"Oh! No. I just know Ava baked cookies yesterday and came to steal a few." She noisily takes the lid off the large Tupperware bowl.

I walk over to Amaya. "I see the urgency. That girl can bake a mean chocolate chip." I say taking the one in her hand right before she bites it.
