"And, as for my name... I don't really have one, but I prefer..
Glitchtrap.."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I paused, furrowing my brows, "Glitchtrap is a little strange, you have to admit.. Why did you choose that name?" I was genuinely curious about it, but I wasn't going to let that show, I kept my expression bored. He opened his mouth to seemingly reply before his gaze shifted away from me, his smile turning into a small sneer. "I have to go now, however, we will talk more at your house.." Does he really think he can demand anything from me? Before I could retort, a hand was firmly planted onto my shoulder, causing me to jump. Alarmed, I quickly snapped my head to the side, only to be met with a worried Merida.
I sighed in relief, turning to gaze back to the now named rabbit, Glitchtrap, only to halt in confusion upon seeing an empty seat. However, I quickly shook the confusion off, recalling all of the other times he disappeared. Merida took a seat on the chair in front of me, the one he had been on.. "Erm.. I'm sorry to ask but, are you okay, (Y/N)?" I gave her a slightly curious look before nodding, not quite sure why she had asked. My gaze turned in the other direction to see Mark, only half listening to her, "But.. I thought I saw you talking to yourself.."
Her words caused me to freeze, my eyes growing wide, placing my arms on the table and lacing my fingers together in an attempt to stay calm. She.. Really didn't see him, huh? If I ever get a therapist again, I'm going to have to tell about him. "Oh, Don't worry about that, Merida! I think it may have been your imagination?" Or, maybe, I was the one that had been imagining it.. It's better if I don't tell her just yet. "Hey, also, what took you so long?" She seemed skeptical but dropped it as she grinned, winking at me, much to my relief, "You'll find out yourself very soon.." Definitely didn't sound a little suspicious.
A few minutes of us just talking past before she stood to fetch Mark, leading him back over to our booth, a sly smile on her face. Maybe a minute or so later after Mark took a seat, the announcer's voice from before came over the speakers, "Today is a very special little boy's birthday! Let us all get together for little Mark's birthday!" Mark seemed surprised, his eyes growing wide from the animatronic gang approaching us with a cake, meanwhile I could only shift uncomfortably.
Freddy, the bear leader, set the cake on our table, Chica the Chicken and Bonnie the Bunny stood beside him, sharing a look amongst themselves. I brought my focus to the cake, not wanting to think too far into their behavior. The cake was frosted blue with 'Happy Birthday, Mark!' in sugar letters. A lit candle shaped like the number eight stood in the center of it. I noticed the light in the party room had gotten dimmer and everyone went quiet, well, as quiet as a place full of children could be.
The dim candle's glow reflected off of Mark's face, his eyes wide in wonder and excitement now that he had the attention of the Fazbear gang all on him. I swear, I heard a squeal when Freddy began to speak, "Let's sing a song for the birthday boy! Ready everyone? Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you.." A single low voice spoke into my ear, his breath brushing against it, a shiver running up my spine despite the warm temperature of the room, "Happy birthday dear Mark, Happy birthday to you!"
The breathing disappeared as Mark blew out the candle, almost in perfect sync. A few people clapped and I believe it was the employees who had cheered, the lights flickering back on. The lights seem to need some changing, huh? Hesitantly, I turned to search for the mischievous rabbit, even though I already knew I would most likely not be seeing him. This is becoming irritating. I sighed, feeling slightly relieved despite the annoyance, turning back to look at Mark before noticing Chica and Bonnie walking away.
Freddy had stayed behind to slice the cake, which somewhat surprised me. Maybe some kind of upgrade? I don't recall him ever doing that before, although, I rarely did come here whenever someone bought the birthday package. Maybe, I just missed it? I kept silent, becoming lost in thought, starting to grow even more uncomfortable from how long Freddy has been standing by the table. It wasn't long before someone set a plate with a slice of cake on it in front of me, breaking me from thought.
I looked up, meeting the electric blue orbs of Freddy, recognition flashing in his gaze before he turned away, returning to the stage with the other two. What was that? I frowned, giving a curt shake of my head before looking back at Mark, snickering when I gazed upon his frosting covered face. Trying to get the strange occurrence out of my head, I spoke, "So, Whatcha wish for, birthday boy?" He suspiciously squinted his eyes at me as Merida wiped his face with a napkin, "You know I can't tell you! It won't come true if I do!" He pouted, slightly pulling away from Merida before she finished, causing her to huff and gently pull him back into place.
"Ah- Well, it was worth a try." I chuckled with a shrug, using the plastic fork provided for us to eat some of the cake. "We should probably get going soon. We've been here for a while already." My gaze flicked back to Merida when she spoke, nodding slightly, quickly finishing off my slice. "Oh, and (Y/N)?" I hummed in response, slightly curious as I stood to toss the plate and fork away. "Can you watch Mark tonight? Erm.. Amelia is coming over.." I smirked at the red taint on her cheeks, secretly planning to tease her later on.
"Well, of course! Anything for the birthday boy." I smiled from how Mark seemed to become even more excited, almost bouncing out of the chair. However, my heart sank once I recalled what Glitchtrap had said to me. Fuck, the weasel wants to talk back at my house. No doubt he isn't there already. But, I can't exactly go back and tell these two no! Mark looks so excited too, I don't want to upset him.. The way his eyes sparkled reminded me how full of life he was, compared to hers.. I gulped and aggressively shook my head, trying to get the image out of my mind. It's going to be just fine!
