~~~~~~~~~~~~I hummed a tune as I approached the front door, pausing upon just barely hearing quiet footsteps behind me. "Do you really have to go?" Glitchtrap whined softly, his arms wrapping around me from behind, his grip secure. I chuckled, turning in his arms to look up at him, patting a hand against his chest. "Glitch, I thought we settled this yesterday! Richard is just a friend I haven't talked to or seen since high school." He continued to pout, a small scowl on his face, reminding me much of an upset child. An amused grin split across my face from the thought, my brows raising. "Hey.. No one is saying you can't come. After all, we're only going to the pizzeria."
I winked playfully at him, noticing his expression immediately light up. "Does that mean.. I can come?" He tilted his head, leaning down to press and rub his nose against mine. Is this his way of sweet talking me? I was already going to say yes- Dang bunny kisses. My face flushed, letting out a chuckle before I playfully rolling my eyes, "Yes, Glitch, you can come." He seemed to be much happier now, moving his head to rub his cheek against mine, not helping my flustered state. The whiskers on his muzzle tickled my already reddened cheek, causing me to puff my cheeks out. It reminded me much of a cat, to be honest, and the way he began purring didn't help that thought..
A car honk outside ruined our little moment, a nervous grin now taking its place on my face as I pulled away from the rabbit, much to his dismay. "Let's.. Go ahead and sneak you into the car now, huh?" He got over his disappointment rather quickly, chuckling slightly with a small nod as I turned to face the door again. I dusted off the new sweater I wore, plucking the keys off the hook on the wall, taking in a deep inhale. I took one last glance at Glitch and pulled open the door, allowing him to quickly slip past before closing and locking it. Then, I turned to face the grey car resting by the curb, spotting Richard's face smiling calmly at me, thankfully not being able to see Glitchtrap.
I tried to calm my nerves by waving to him, starting to head over, only to gasp upon tripping on something. My eyes squeezed closed from the expected impact, being caught by the one and only rabbit, which caused me to almost melt into his arms. However, I quickly straightened my posture, hoping Richard hadn't seen what just played out. My palms became damp with sweat from how much my nervous level just increased. "Thank you for catching me, but we're lucky he didn't see that.. I mean, I'm the only one that can see you, to him, it would have looked like I'm floating." I quickly and quietly whispered back to him, smiling reassuringly at the confused stare the brunette in the car gave me.
The only response I got from the hare was a sigh, "I wasn't going to just let you fall.." It was my turn to sigh, although my cheeks became slightly flushed again. "I know, but please be more careful.." He let out a hum of acknowledgment, but I had a feeling he didn't actually care. Realizing I had been standing in the same spot for a little too long, I approached the car quickly. Stop being so jumpy- I opened the back seat door, feeling Glitch's presence behind me. "Huh, aren't you going to sit up here?" Richard's voice made me flinch, looking up to meet his curious green orbs.
"Huh? Oh, Yes! I wasn't sure if you'd be comfortable with that so I just assumed." I smiled nervously, pulling back and holding the door open long enough for Glitch to climb in, closing it behind him. I swear I heard him mutter something along the lines of, "-holding the door open for her-", before it closed fully. I shook my head, opening the passengers' door and climbing in, being met with Richard's voice again once I had settled in the seat, "Well, Let's get going now, hm?" Before he then drove off in the familiar directions to the pizzeria..
......................
When we arrived at the pizzeria, I noticed it was more crowded than usual, earning a groan from me. Damn it, we must've came when there's a birthday party, there's so many people here.. Richard seemed to immediately sit at attention from my groan. "Is this a bad idea? Do you want to go somewhere else? Sorry-" I cut him off with a small chuckle, finding it somewhat sweet he seemed to care so much. "Nah, it's fine.. Let's just, stay out of these party goers way, huh?" He relaxed, chuckling lightly along with me before nodding, clicking off the car. I quickly followed after he climbed out, my gaze landing on the rabbit in the back seat.
Wait a minute- Can't he do some teleporting mumbo jumbo? Is he purposely making me do all the work? I narrowed my eyes suspiciously at him, which he returned with a sly smirk. This bitch- As if confirming my thoughts, he disappeared and reappeared in front of me. "Awe, is someone upset?" He cooed, his hand patting the top of my head, to which I swatted away. Before I could reply, my brows knitted together angrily, I heard Richard call back, "You coming?" I let out a short exhale, resisting the urge to sucker punch the rat. "Yep! Just taking my sweet time."
I gritted my teeth, Glitchtrap chuckling beside me as we walked over to the awaiting man, whom gave me a strangely sweet smile. "Well.. Let's hurry in now." I hesitated upon looking at the doors, noticing a crowd surrounding them. Jeez.. Is it really that big of a party? I turned my gaze away in a sort of avoiding manner, noticing a strangely familiar purple car before shrugging it off. Richard paused just like I had, "Let's try not to get lost getting inside." He nodded to me, and then, with one last glance, we tried to push past the crowd to enter. Is it really worth it for all this trouble?
It was soon apparent we had gotten separated, amazingly though, Glitch had managed to stay with me. I had only found out, however, when he decided to scare me by planting his hands on my shoulders and whispering, "Boo" into my ear. I held back a scream, calming myself as Glitchtrap began laughing. I frowned, looking up at that damned smug rabbit, opening my mouth before gasping upon bumping into something. "Oh, Sorry!" The words tumbled out of my mouth before I even fully registered I had ran into someone. "Oh, It's fine." A woman's voice replied, smooth and silky, without a hint of anger behind it.
I looked up at her, tilting my head when my (E/C) orbs met her green ones, giving her a gentle smile. "Ah, Thank you for not being rude or anything." I sheepishly chuckled, rubbing the back of my head, watching her return my smile. "I can say the same for you. But, I'm guessing you're in a hurry? Or, even if you aren't, I need to get going.." She gave me her own sheepish grin, and I just shrugged. "You're free to go!" I chuckled, smiling as she walked off, waiting for her to be out of ear shot before looking up at the bunny next to me, "That was close, huh? But, I'm still upset at yo.." I trailed off when I noticed a stunned look in Glitchtrap's eyes, his gaze on the retreating form of the other female. "Glitchtrap..?" He slowly looked down at me, his eyes wide in shock,
"I didn't think it was possible, but.."
"What?"
"I was following her. No, no, I mean... There was another me following her.."
