Freddy Fazbear's Pizza...

The name of the rumor surrounded pizzeria echoed in my mind, causing an uneasy shudder to course through me. Somehow, even after all the disappearances, they managed to stay open. Much to my dismay, and to the happiness of Mark. Even if I still do visit the pizzeria from time to time in an attempt to remember, the place will never be the same as it was before. It will always serve as a reminder of the sister I lost. I will never truly feel happiness there again. Now, with this in mind, why did Merida even think it was a good idea to throw a child's birthday party there?

At the place where many children have been rumoured to have died at?

The leading thoughts drew a wary sigh from me, which only came to a halt once I stopped by the car. I tugged the door open and settled down in the driver's seat, pulling the door closed afterward. I deeply breathed in and out as I clicked my seatbelt in place, reminding myself once more why I was going. To make Mark happy.. And to watch him so nothing happens. I rest my hands on the steering wheel after a resigned sigh, my head slightly tilting when I thought I heard a sound in the back seat.

My breath hitched as my grasp tightened on the wheel once it fully processed to me, my thoughts becoming unnerved. Was that.. Breathing? I had the car locked, who would break in? Why do I feel it against my ear?.. I tried to keep myself as calm as possible, not wanting to jump to any conclusions to scare myself unnecessarily. It could just be air. Despite my thoughts, I slowly forced my trembling gaze to the mirror, my heart dropping. Oh god. Someone, or rather something, was in the back seat.

I had to roughly bite down onto my lip to resist making any sudden sounds, realizing it was him. The longer I stared, the more it became apparent there was a strange shadow hovering over this figure. It made it difficult to make out any defining features. It's going to be harder to finally see him than I had originally thought. I could tell he had animal features, at least, rabbit ears to be exact. The most noticeable detail were definitely his eyes though. A quite vibrant purple, not even the sun dulled them. I could feel it becoming harder to breathe the longer my gaze stayed glued to the eyes.

My heart was pounding awfully painfully within my chest, and I knew it was because of panic. I didn't know what to do, except continue to sit there. He seemed to notice my stare and his grin grew, at least, I think it did. The glowing purple finally disappeared, along with the breathing near my ear. After a moment or two, I began moving again, heaving heavy breaths to calm myself. I could tell my eyes were quite wide, and I probably looked like I had seen a ghost. That strange figure. I have seen him before, but never once this close.

The ringtone of my phone jolted me from my slightly frozen state, resulting in me flinching from the sudden sound. Who? I was still quite shaken from the encounter, so I ended up sitting there a few extra seconds just listening to the ringing. I eventually urged my shaking hand to bring the phone out of my pocket, the caller ID reading 'Merida'. A trembling smile tugged at my lips upon seeing it. She's probably wondering where I am. I answered the call once realizing it was probably going to voicemail soon, now holding the device up to my ear.

"...Hello?"

"(Y/N)!!"

I flinched from the loudness, yanking the phone far away from my poor ear. Same ol' Merida. Still trying to make my ears bleed. I clicked the speaker button before tossing the phone over onto the passengers' seat. "Yes?" I chirped as causally as I could, a shaky note still within my voice despite my attempt. I eventually started up the car and began to back out of the driveway that led to my house. "Where are you!?" That earned a chuckle from me, proud of myself for guessing. I set the car to drive before I responded, "Currently trying to not get hit by another car."

Merida didn't seem amused by my joke, I could tell because she went silent. She let out a sigh as I came to a stop at a red light, her voice causing me to cringe when she spoke up again, "Kitten, Kitten.." She repeated the word in a scolding tone. Irritation washed over me as I stifled a groan from the terrible, cringe nickname. I just had to not back down from that stupid dare back in middle school. Dress as a cat for a day. She knows how terrible that name is because she keeps using it!

One positive, at least, she's keeping my thoughts from drifting back to him. She continued on, "You know I don't enjoy it when you make jokes like that!" I kept my eyes on the road as I responded, allowing some irritation to sink in, "I know you don't. And I also know you know I hate that nickname.. But, sorry, why did you call me in the first place?" I take a right turn at the corner, my thoughts suddenly drifting back to the rabbit again as I awaited a reply. I think I've been seeing him ever seen that day.

Merida's cheeky voice cut through my thoughts before I could become emotional, my attention shifting back to the road and her. Thank God she's talking to me or I would've actually crashed. "Yeah, I know you hate it. And, I called because Mark and I already arrived at Freddy's. I just wanted to see if you were still coming?" I raised a brow before I narrowed my eyes, the damned establishment coming into view. "Well, you're about to find out, honey boo." I hummed out despite how I felt, pulling into the cramped parking lot. "What do you mea- Oh, I see you now!" She hung up as I searched for an open parking spot, a small chuckle leaving me.

I quickly pulled in and parked in the first spot that was free, pulling the keys out of the ignition before hopping out of the car. Not even a second after I closed the door, I am pounced on by a blur. A small, surprised yelp escaped me before I looked down, careful to not trip. Of course it was him! A wide smile grew onto my lips when I was met with the bright, mismatched eyes of Mark. He had a tight grasp on my legs while he was hugging onto them. "(Y/N)!" I laughed and lifted him up into my arms, lightly rubbing my nose against his. I knew it made him laugh, and I was right because he giggled and his smile widened.

"Well, look at you, birthday boy! You've grown so much!" He paused at my words, a pout growing on his face before he wiggled out of my grasp. Did I say something wrong? "But, you saw me last week!" Oh, yeah. His words caused me to chuckle, my hand planting on his head to ruffle the dark brown hair there. "I know, I know. But still, take the compliment! And, now my hand." I held my hand out with a hum, Mark hesitating before taking my larger palm into his. My gaze softened as I began to walk, Mark trailing behind me.

I noticed Merida had been watching us with a small smile before approaching us, taking her spot in walking by my other side. "Really thank you for coming, I didn't think you would because of.. Uhm.. What happened here." I slightly faltered but I tried to not let it show as I gave a dismissive wave. "You know, Mark really loves you." She whispered that part to me, causing my smile to return somewhat. My gaze landed on the boy now skipping a little ahead of me, "Yeah, and I love him as well."

As we stepped into the pizzeria, the smell of pizza, both fresh and stale, hit us like a wave. This only seemed to make Mark even more excited though. I could tell by the way he was tugging and pulling at my hand now, trying to escape. A small sigh escaped my lips as I carefully turned him to face me, kneeling down in front of the bouncy boy. My (E/C) eyes met with his bright green and blue ones. "Be safe while you're here, alright? Don't follow anyone, no matter how friendly they seem, without telling me first. Alright?"

Mark nodded quickly, although he seemed slightly confused at first. I hesitantly released his hand, my heart heavy as I stood up. I had to force a grin back onto my face, attempting to calm my nerves. "Now, go have some fun, birthday boy!" He smiled happily, giving me a quick hug before bolting towards the stage. My gaze followed him over, eventually landing on the animatronics, only to freeze when the feeling of being watched washed over me. I slowly looked around the surrounding area, however I wasn't surprised when I found nothing.

You're just being paranoid, (Y/N). My thoughts sighed at me, my eyes squinting for a few moments. I quickly scanned around myself again before approaching one of the few open booths, placing myself in one of the seats. Once Merida joined me, we began to talk and laugh about small things, but I never let Mark out of my sights. I'll be damned if I ever let anything happen to him. Movement in the corner of my eye is what finally drew my attention away. Slowly, with hesitance, I turned my gaze to it and then I froze..

Oh god. Guess who finally decided to show himself?
