"Glitch..

What have you done..?"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Glitchtrap didn't seem bothered by the question, in fact, he hadn't even flinched. Was he expecting me to ask? He brought his head back, giving me the proudest and warmest smile ever, connecting our gazes. What is with that smile? "Oh, (Y/N), (Y/N), (Y/N).." He repeated in a soothing, yet sly tone, an uncomfortable undertone washing over me. "..You don't need to worry about that. Just know, you're safe because of me and he'll never stalk you ever again.. Didn't you hear me?" I didn't really appreciate the way he emphasized the word 'me', but I reluctantly nodded anyway.
It shouldn't have fazed me as much as it had, it really shouldn't have. I've known from the start that he was capable of hurting people. But why did it scare me so much? Have I really grown this attached to him? Will I just have to live with the fact that he kills people? He seemed happy about what he had done, maybe that's why it bothers me so much. I swallowed a lump forming in my throat when my thoughts shifted to my sister. I'm.. Going to have to accept the fact one day that he is probably the one who did it.. Why do I just want to live in blissful ignorance?
Someone clearing their throat drew me from the harmful thoughts, my gaze numbly moving over to look at Rosie, whom stood awkwardly by the other side of the couch. Noticing our attention was now on her, she began to quietly speak, almost cautiously, "Erm.. Hello, Glitchtrap, is it?" Glitch's eyes narrowed upon looking at her, slowly placing me back on the couch, seeming irked from being interrupted. "Yes, that's my name, why are you still here though?" I couldn't help but feel a small ping of shock or surprise from how quick he became rude. Where's all that patience he just showed me go?.. Glitch, I don't really know you too well, do I..?
He stared at her, awaiting a response seemingly impatiently as well, Why do you act so different around me, Glitch? "Well, you seemed like an interesting.. Being to get to know..?" Rosie didn't seem as certain as she was before, a nervous glint hidden within her eyes. At her response, Glitchtrap's brows rose, his nose scrunching in distaste. "Oh, really? That doesn't exactly give you a reason to have stayed this long, though. You could've came back another time."
She paused before her eyes slightly widened, seeming taken aback, "B-Bu.. I stayed here to also find out what would happen to my brother.. I promise not to tell anyone, please.." My body immediately tensed, inhaling sharply from the glare Glitch still gave her. "Glitchtrap.." I began lightly, hoping it would calm him, "Maybe you should be a little less.. Hostile, bun bun?.." His gaze slowly turned to land on me, staying that same glare before it slowly melted into an almost playfully betrayed look. "What? I'm not being hostile to this strange woman in our house." My expression became more stern, "And, quit with the rude attitude."
Glitch paused before allowing a small pout to grow on his face, an expression that drew a sigh of relief and a small chuckle from me in return. "But, I wasn't-" I shook my head, not giving in, "Yes, you were, now sit your fluffy buns down." He gave me a weird look, this coming from the rabbit that literally just slaughtered someone, and slowly sat beside me with an unhappy grumble. "Now, Rosie, I don't want to seem as rude as this rabbit here.." I sent him a look, one he returned with his own pouty gaze, "But.. You have, somewhat, over stayed your welcome. You can understand, right? With everything that has happened.."
Rosie paused, letting out a small sigh before slowly nodding in understanding, clearing her throat lightly. "Ah, you're right, I'm sorry.. Although, am I allowed to come by again another time..?" She seemed to be asking the question to Glitchtrap, however, I quickly nodded before he could intervene. A small satisfied smile grew on Rosie's lips, "Alright, Thank you (Y/N), see you around!" She gave a slight crooked smile as her head tilted, walking over to the front door, the scene of the 'crime'..
I was half expecting to see Richard slump in when she swung the door open without seemingly a care in the world. Being momentarily surprised by the clean area, it took a second for my mind to come up with words, "Y-Yeah.. Bye!" I stammered softly, watching her wave to us, or maybe only me.. And then she was gone, the door closing behind her.. Then, I realized I still needed to get that stupid mysterious box. I huffed in annoyance, about to stand before Glitchtrap placed his arm over me, "I got it."
All it took was for me to blink and the box was in front of me. I lightly jumped from the sudden appearance, turning my head to gaze curiously at the rabbit. I don't think I've seen him do this to objects before. "Hey, don't question it." He interrupted before I could speak, causing me to sigh and turn away. I began to peel the tape back, pulling the box open. My eyes widened when it landed on a folded suit of some kind, but I couldn't quite tell what it was currently. Well, until my gaze landed on the head of the suit resting toward the side.
It's.. A rabbit mask? Why is it my favorite color? I hesitantly grabbed the mask to inspect it closer, setting it aside and grabbing the suit instead. I lifted it up and unfolded it, It.. Looks homemade. Strange. Well, looking at it didn't clear anything up because I know I didn't order this. My gaze flicked back to the box when I noticed something else within it. It was a paper of some kind, and it had a somewhat foul smell to it. It read in bold letters, "Don't keep us waiting long." I felt sick to my stomach when I realized it was blood on the page.
Glitchtrap let out a small snarl, probably having read it as well. I can't catch a break, can I? I groaned, dropping the suit and covering my face with my hands. My body tensed on its own when I was suddenly engulfed in a warm hug, pulling my hands away to look up at Glitchtrap. I sighed, turning and wrapping my arms around him in return. I relaxed when he began to rub my back and nuzzle my hair. I.. Actually quite like this. I slowly closed my eyes, listening to the rabbit before me purr from me snuggling closer.
"Don't worry, I'll keep you safe. I promise, we won't have to deal with them.."
