"Don't worry, I'll keep you safe. I promise, we won't have to deal with them.."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My eyes slowly began to open as my body shivered from the cold slapping over it. I, almost immediately, noticed the room was uncomfortably quiet and freezing cold. When had I fallen asleep? A quick glimpse of a memory flashed in my mind, causing my cheeks to flush. I fell asleep to Glitch holding me, didn't I?..  A shiver forced its way through me as I sat up, my gaze starting to search the room for a certain rabbit. "...Glitch?" I called out when the silence began to quickly creep up on me. No response.. Confusion built as I raised off the sofa, shivering once more. How is it possible to be this cold in a sweater? I questioned myself as I rubbed the sleeves against my arms for warmth, walking to and up the stairs, silently wishing for Glitchtrap's warmth.
Where is he? He didn't leave, right? I frowned at my thoughts, pausing upon reaching the door to my room. "Huh.. That's strange, I could've sworn I left it open.." I squinted my eyes at the closed door, reaching out and grabbing the knob, a spark of hope coursing through me suddenly. Perhaps this is where Glitch went? However, my heart sank once I opened the door, being met with checkered floors and tables with party hats. "...This isn't right..." I stepped into the room, jumping when the door slammed closed behind me, my heart thumping quickly in my chest now.
"I.. I must be dreaming." I came to the quick conclusion as I began to walk, curious of my surroundings. My heart beat began to quicken as I slowed to a stop, realizing just where I was. "Am... Am I at Freddy's?" My brows furrowed before I began to search the area with my gaze, noticing the stage with the animatronics, the dark only working to cause them to appear more eerie than before. "Oh, yep.." I froze, however, when I noticed each one of them were all looking at.. Me. I rapidly blinked, rubbing my eyes and reminding myself it was only a dream.
Then, I brought my attention back to them. Their eyes were ever so slightly shifted, so they were no longer staring at me but, instead.. Behind me? I hesitantly turned to see whatever had caught their attention, my eyes widening when I saw it was an exact copy of me, running. It was me.. With blood pouring down the sides of my head, I stumbled and quickly ran to the entrance, yanking the doors open like it was nothing, then I ran out. Just like a coward.. Guilt washed over me in a strong wave, almost threatening to drown me. I know what this is now.. It's a memory.. Of when I lost Ava.. But, it's.. Different.
An ear piercing scream echoed throughout the area, my heart jumping to my throat before I faced the direction the sound came from. I swallowed and made my way towards the scream, attempting to reassure myself once more it was only just a dream.. A dream of a memory. I reached a long hallway, instantly recognizing it as the last time I saw her.. Why..? Why had I abandoned her? I could've saved her!.. I'm.. I'm a horrible sibling.. I froze when a rabbits' form slipped out of a room further down the hall, humming a cheerful tune as they danced away into the darkness. My nose scrunched up when I recognized the voice.. But, he couldn't have been here.. That's a lie. I just refuse to believe it's him.
I sucked in a breath, waiting for the noise to become faint before I hesitantly began to approach the room it left out of. I dreaded what I'd see upon stopping in front of the slightly ajar door, my hand reaching out to slowly push it open the rest of the way. A scream ripped out of my throat when my gaze landed on a little girl's mangled body.. Ava.. I walked toward her until my legs couldn't hold me, crumbling down to the floor near her, tears freely flowing down my cheeks. "Ava.. It's all my fault.." I wept, sobs threatening to shake me as I slowly reached out to her, my fingertips just barely caressing her pale cheek.
However, I flinched away in confusion when her face began to flicker to a different little girl's face. I stumbled to my feet, stepping away with short breaths, just barely taking in the detail of this new girl. Her expression was frozen in a scream, her dead blue eyes filled with fear, her black hair clumped together in what seemed to be dried blood.. Suddenly, she lunged at me, flickering back to the mangled image of my sister. I stepped away as quick as I could, losing my footing and letting out a choked gasp when she fazed through me. My eyes squeezed shut in fear when I crashed into something.
My body tensed when eerily familiar fingers snaked around my throat, a small 'Shh' whispering into my ear as they began to squeeze, gentle at first before becoming tight. I choked, gripping at the hands as my eyes shot open, my gaze locking onto Ava's as she stood still in front of me. Her voice, the one I used to miss hearing, sang out, "Don't you know already? He did it!.. How could you leave me, (Y/N).. Why did you?!"
A choked cry managed to escape me when the fingers dug in, tears continuing to pour down my cheeks. "It's all your fault!" My vision was blurred but I could hear her voice just fine, my hands attempting to pull the fingers away. It is all my fault.. It was then I began to notice her voice was slowly changing to someone else's, their voice sounding more desperate.. "G-Glitchtrap?" I choked out the best I could, my eyes slowly closing.
"Wake up!
I shot up, gasping for air and nearly choking from breathing in too quickly. Coughing rather aggressively, my hand shot up to my throat, my eyes widening from the sting of a bruise. I shakily exhaled after the coughing fit, my gaze remaining blurred, not truly calmed yet. If you ever find yourself afraid, confused, or lost, just take a glance around your surroundings. List out everything you can see and feel. Those words from Mom again.. I can't see, but I could feel.. Something warm wrapped around my torso. A soft breath breathing into my neck as a soft hand rubbed down my back. A soft cheek soon began to rub against my own. Soft, soft, soft.. Glitchtrap..
Once I had managed to calm enough, my gaze slowly shifted to look up at the rabbit that now sat in front of me, worry sketched into his features. He seemed to notice he finally had my full attention, "(Y/N), are you okay?" He gently cupped my cheek in his hand and wiped my tears away with his thumb, a worried frown forming when I didn't react. He.. Didn't leave me.. He was here the whole time. I opened my mouth to speak, only to freeze when I heard the TV turn on, my tearful gaze moving to it.
Strangely, it was on the news channel, confusion taking over me now. They were speaking of a missing child, a picture flashing on screen. A little girl with black hair and blue eyes.. My eyes narrowed at the time she disappeared, taking in a sharp breath, '5:56'. I wiped the tears away but more grew from the pain I felt, my gaze shifting into a glare. Glitch was staring at the TV with his brows knitted together, soon turning to meet my raging and accusing gaze. I distanced myself from him by moving further onto the other side of the couch, only then did I speak,
"You killed her, didn't you!? Just like you killed my sweet baby sister.."
