Cait's POV.
I felt sick. Again. These past 3 days i'd spent them feeling sick. I felt sick about walking down the aisle as a bridesmaid, I felt sick about all of this modelling business and I felt sick about what i'd done after I saw Leah's text on Harry's phone.
Instead of questioning him I thought of something better. I quickly took his phone off the table before he saw it and rushed upstairs - locking myself in the bathroom.
I unlocked his phone X'ing all of his Instagram and Twitter notifications - why can't that boy turn them off?!
I found Leah's text and replied.
Leah: You left your wallet here xxx
Harry: Great, meet me thursday? next time I'm free. I'll meet you at Starbucks on Harrow street. Yeah?
Leah: Sounds great, treating me to coffee?😉 what would your mystery girlfriend say about that?? Jokingggg xxx
I cringed at her kisses.
Harry: She's actually pretty cool with it. Told her about my wallet going missing.
Leah: I was hoping you'd kiss me that day xx
Harry: I have a girlfriend.
Leah: I know but can't we still have fun? This whole thing is now over because you're all of a sudden in a relationship? xxx
Relief rushed over me, he had ended whatever they had.
Harry: I love her.
Leah: Yeah, I know. You'll get bored x
I swallow.
Harry: But I'd be even more bored with you. Thursday at 1, Starbucks on Harrow street. See you there.
When she didn't reply for 20 minutes I assumed it was all clear and deleted the entire feed and locked his phone.
I placed his phone by his bed and carried on as if it was a normal, boring day.
That was monday. It is now thursday, 1:04pm and I'm sat outside Starbucks on Harrow Street waiting.
When I finally saw her blonde bombshell of a hair-do I smirk. She slowed down as she saw me taking her sunglasses down. "Cait? Cait! Hi!" She grinned.
I instantly felt guilty, i'd forgotten how nice she was. I wasn't the enemy to her - I was just Cait, Louis' twin sister. Why had I done this?
"Hi Leah," I stood up. She hugged me kissing my cheek.
"Great to see you, I noticed you on the Ford models site and twitter, well done you!"
Oh yeah, i'd forgotten Ford had released my photos yesterday - telling the world about their new 'face'. I hadn't checked twitter for a reaction - not yet anyway.
"Meeting someone?" She asked looking around.
I smile. "I was actually waiting for you."
She frowns completely confused as to what I'm talking about.
"Oh?"
I sit down, "Yeah. Harry told me about his wallet being at yours. He's been called in to the studio for one reason or another," I blabbed. That was the truth, he was in the studio. "..So he's asked me to pick it up for him and he can stop by Louis' later." I didn't think she knew I lived with Harry.
"Oh," She smiles. "Okay," She reaches inside her bag and hands over the oh so familiar brown wallet. "I'll quickly go and order something and we can chat?"
"Sure." I nod swallowing what was left of my caramel hot chocolate.
When she arrived back she sat down with a sigh, a content sigh - not a fed up sigh like most of mine. Leah always seems to be content.
"So, you and Harry - still a thing?" I ask breaking off some of my muffin acting nonchalant.
She shakes her head shaking her sugar packet before pouring it in. "Nope,"
"Oh," I frown. "What happened?"
"He's got some girlfriend he's in love with," She rolls her eyes.
"Hate when that happens," I reply. In my head I was smirking.
"I wasn't in love with him or anything, I'll move on quick." She shrugs.
"Yeah.." I break off more of my muffin. "How come he was at yours if he has a girlfriend?"
"We're still on friendship ground I guess. He has a lot of female friends. He came round to show me some necklace he'd bought for his girlfriend."
My heart drops, my hands clammy.
"What?"
"Yeah," She nods. "He was telling me how he'd never bought her a gift and wanted my opinion on the necklace he bought. Too mushy for my liking but, that's Harry." She scoffs.
My mouth went dry. I shouldn't have done this, me and my suspicious, untrusting mind has got me into this. Why? Why did I do this?
"Oh, damn." I frown looking down at my phone pretending something was wrong.
"Everything okay?" She asks sipping her drink.
"I've just noticed the time, I've got stuff to do still, my mums wedding on Saturday and all."
She nods as if she's remembered something. "Of course. Hope she has a lovely day!" I smile at her genuine answer as I stand collecting my bag.
"Speak soon Leah."
"Of course." She hugs me quickly before I head for the nearest taxi rank.
What have I done?
