Arlo sat up, having been shocked awake from a nightmare. She looked over at Izzy who appeared to be fast asleep, not wanting to wake him up, she held in her tears and stared at the ceiling

Seconds? Minutes? Hours? Who knows how long the poor girl was left staring until Izzy sat up and hugged her.

"W-wha?" Arlo squeaked, not expecting the sudden affection.
Izzy didn't respond, he kissed her cheek, hugged her close, and layed down, still holding her and was now playing with her hair. "Nightmare?" Was all he asked blankly, but obviously he was worried.
"Y-yes.... Sorry if I woke you u-"
"There's no need to apologize.... I'm here for you, Arlo. Always."
Those words hit home in Arlo's heart, and she started crying, she turned around and hugged him back, mumbling "thank you so much" every now and then.
Arlo eventually fell back asleep, and a short yet meaningful sentence from Izzy assured her she was safe.

"I love you, and I'll always protect you."
