"Wyatt?" I whispered, curling up tighter against him.
"Mmmm?" he hummed sleepily, his face buried in my neck as his muscular arms tightened around me.
"I love you," I said softly, playing with his hair.
I felt him smile against my neck before he kissed my throat and pulled away slightly so he could look at my face.
"I love you," he smiled. His words and loving expression made me feel warm and tingly all over.
"I don't want this to end," he whispered, stroking my cheek.
"Me neither," I said, my voice just as quiet and soft, "I want to stay like this forever."
And I did. I wanted to stay with him, in my bed, in my room, forever. It was like our own little world, like everything and everyone outside my room didn't exist. It was just us. Together. Nothing could hurt us here. It was just warm and tender and affectionate and so wonderful. Like nothing could touch us.
And then the phone rang.
I growled while Wyatt laughed at my expression. I rolled over and out of Wyatt's arms and snatched the phone up.
"What?" I snapped.
"Lila?" I could hear the frown in her voice, "Something wrong?"
"No. I was just...nothing," I shook my head, "What's up?"
"Oh well can you tell Dad that I'm spending the night at Brianne's house? We still aren't finished the project and we're all staying over to finish it..." she said.
"Okay," I sighed.
"So what were you doing when I called?" she asked, "Oh my Gosh!" she suddenly exclaimed, "Are you with mystery boy?"
I looked at Wyatt and he shrugged, "Um...yes."
"At home? Alone?" she gasped.
"Yeah. So?" I asked, frowning as Wyatt slid up behind me and kissed my shoulder.
"What if Dad comes home early and you guys are getting physical or something? What if you decide tonight is the night and you're ready?" she said worriedly.
"Okay so wait a second," I said, feeling Wyatt trail kisses up my neck to my jaw, "You're more concerned with Dad catching me and...mystery boy in the act than us actually doing it?" I gaped.
"Well duh!" she cried, "Oh my God! I'm totally killing the mood aren't I? Did I interrupt you guys when you were doing um...something?"
"Yes you did interrupt and yes you are kind of killing it," I rolled my eyes as Wyatt chuckled in my ear.
"Oh my-Sorry! Okay so um...use protection! Don't think that because you're on the pill you don't have to use a condom because you can still get STD's and stuff. Don't do anything too kinky. And if you do something do it quick in case Dad comes home and finds you guys doing like the horizontal tango or something like that and-"
"GOODBYE IVY!" I said loudly before I hung up, cheeks burning, "That was so embarrassing," I groaned.
He just laughed and wrapped his arms around me, pulling me back under the warm covers, "It's not that bad. Besides, she's your sister and she's just looking out for you. And it's kind of her job to embarrass you sometimes."
"Well I'm not a little girl anymore," I grumbled, propping my head up on my hand, leaning my elbow into my pillow as we lay facing each other on our sides, our bodies just barely touching under the covers, "I can take care of myself and stuff."
