(Kept you Waiting, Huh? I finally got a nice computer setup. It's pretty lit if you ask me. I just moved into my dorm. Everything is going swimmingly. This chapter is going to be a great chapter. This is actually one of my favorite chapters in the entire story, since I got the entire thing planned out already. It will have emotion, backstories and truths to be told. I love everyone who is reading this book. I appreciate all of the votes and adds and follows I get for it. It means a lot to me. I'm putting my full effort into this. I finally hit 5K reads!! What a Milestone! I couldn't have done it without all of you. I hope you're all enjoying this book. Honestly, this book was meant to be slow and subtle. I wanted to make this story an experience for the reader, being you guys. I didn't want to rush it at all. Anyways, LETS GET GOIN!)

It was the middle of the night in the abandoned city, in an abandoned building. Everyone was asleep, except for Y/N. Ruby was on watch duty above the campsite. Y/N couldn't help but think about what Ooblek told him during the Grimm fighting. Ruby had been keeping watch for a while, so Y/N decided to go up and check up on her. Zwei was with her, asleep.

"Hey, Ruby. You doing alright?" Y/N asked, calmly and quietly, trying not to wake the rest of the team.

"Y/N?? What are you doing up here? You should be getting some rest." Ruby whispered back to him.

"Well, I wanted to take a look at the stars and the moon. Plus, I wanted to check on you to see if you're  alright."

"O-Oh... I'm fine. I'm just tired."

"Yeah, I bet... Everyone did a lot of fighting today. I'm super beat." Y/N said to Ruby.

"So, did he ask you?"

"What?"

"Did Ooblek ask you about your reason of becoming a huntsman?"

"Yeah..."

"What did you say? If, you don't mind me asking."

"I didn't really have a reason. I came here and Ozpin took me into this school as a means of protection and education. He then told me something I'll probably never forget..."

"What is it?"

"I have a reason... to fight for, and with my teammates."

Ruby smiled.

"I bet your parents are proud of you, Y/N."

"...." His attention then turned towards the night sky. The stars were shining brightly, illuminating the sky. There sat the mysterious, shattered moon. It was a pretty sight to see. Y/N spaced out for a while as he stared deeply into the sky. Ruby noticed this. He has been doing this a lot more recently and it is worrying her.

"Y/N... You've been staring at the sky a lot more recently. I... I want you to tell me about it. It's worrying me. Sometimes, you don't get any sleep, you don't eat well, and you're not fighting as hard as you normally do."

He reached his arm out to the moon, in hopes of grasping for something or maybe even longing for something.

"I... I..." His voice started to waver. Tears started to form in his eyes. His arm fell to his face as he wept.

"Y/N! What's wrong? Please tell me! I want to help." She said to him. She was determined.

"Ruby... I think it's time."

"Wha?"

"To tell you about my past..." Y/N composed himself a little.

"Okay... I'm here to listen to you." Ruby nodded. Y/N sighed.
