(I want to apologize for the lateness of this chapter. I've been going through a lot of stuff lately. My father died recently and I'm trying to deal with it and it's hard. I haven't been sleeping well. So I want you to know that I'm trying. I hope you enjoy.)

The next morning came quickly. Y/N woke up to his phone alarm.

"Ugh... Why are you waking up so early?" Weiss said with a sleepy, annoyed tone. She put her pillow over her head.

"Yeah, we don't have to leave for another couple hours." Yang said.

"Mmm..." Blake turned over.

Ruby snored lightly, still asleep.

"Sorry, guys. I'm going to take a very enthusiastic walk outside. It's good to do that every once in a while." Y/N said.

"I don't care. Just let us sleep, idiot." Weiss said going back to sleep.

"Alright." Y/N grabbed his scroll, went outside and started walking around the campus. After an hour of a walk, Y/N sat down on a bench. He looked at a flower bed.

"What? Blue flowers... they seem so familiar... they look like the ones fro..." Y/N's scroll started to ring. He answered.

"Hello?"

"It's Ruby. Good morning, Y/N." Ruby greeted, cheerfully.

"Morning."

"Weiss told me that you were going for a morning stroll, so I wanted to call you and say that we're up."

"Oh, cool. Hey, while you're still in the room, can you plug my iPhone up? I forgot to charge it last night."

"Uh... what?"

"My iPhone. I forgot to put it on the charger last night and I'd like to have it charged for the trip."

"Uhhh...What's an iPhone?"

"Okay, okay. Go to my sleeping bag and you'll see a semi-flat device. There is a cord next to it. Plug it in through the bottom." Ruby went over to his sleeping bag and found the device. She then plugged it in and the screen lit up. It showed unfamiliar faces to Ruby.

"Who are the people on the screen?"

"They are—were my friends."

"Were? What happened?"

"I don't wanna talk about it right now. I'm coming back to take a shower, okay?"

"Alright. I'll see you in a bit." Ruby hung up. Y/N sighed as he went back to the dorm room. He knocked on the door.

"Come in." Yang Said. Y/N came in. He looked at his phone.

"Thanks for putting it on the charge, Ruby."

"No problem!"

"I'm gonna get in the shower, alright?"

"Okay." Blake said. Y/N picked up his school uniform and walked into the bathroom. He took a shower and came out, dressed in his uniform attire.

"You do realize we don't have to be in our uniforms today, right?" Weiss asked.

"Yeah, but you also got to realize that these are the only clothes I have besides my pajamas, and the clothes I came here in. Both are dirty. That reminds me, I need more clothes."

"W-Well, whatever!" Weiss scoffed back.

"We should head down to the cafeteria." Blake said.

"You said it. I'm starving." Yang added.

"I second that." Y/N agreed. They and Team JNPR went down to the cafeteria and ate. After eating, everyone went to their lockers to grab their weapons, then they went to the bullhead airship to fly to the Forever Fall forest. Y/N already got used to the bullhead from going down to Vale from time to time. After a while of waiting and talking, Y/N stared out the window. He saw a large forest of trees with red leaves (I can't tell if the ground itself is red, or if it's the leaves covering it. Take your pick). He marveled at it, but didn't say anything about it. After the airship landed, everyone came out and walked around as groups.

"Yes, students. The forest of Forever Fall is indeed beautiful, but we are not here to sightsee. Professor Peach instructed all of you to collect samples from trees deep within the forest. I'm here to make sure that none of you die while doing so." Professor Goodwitch led the students through the forest to a stop. The clanking of glass jars was heard behind everyone. Jaune held them.

"Each of you is to gather one jar's worth of red sap; however, this forest is full of the creatures of Grimm. So, be sure to stay by your teammates. We will rendezvous back here at four o'clock. Have fun." Professor Goodwitch handed out the jars to the students. They went their separate ways to gather sap. Cardin grabbed Jaune and made him follow Cardin. Jaune did all of the work for Cardin, gathering all of his team's sap. Y/N sighed and walked around with his team to collect sap.

"This place is... Breathtaking." Y/N Said.

"I can agree with that." Weiss agreed.

"Ugh." Y/N looked over at Cardin. Crossing his arms looking at Jaune.

"What is it, Y/N?" Ruby asked, closing the lid on her jar of sap.

"It's Cardin. He's got Jaune on a chained leash. He's going to make Jaune do something he's going to regret." Y/N said. Just then, Jaune threw a jar of sap at Cardin. Cardin started beating up Jaune, until an Ursa came into play. The rest of Cardin's team ran away and Cardin was knocked down. Jaune had to fight on his own. Everyone stood and watched as Jaune decapitated the Ursa. Ruby, Weiss, and Y/N watched Pyrrha move her hand with a black aura.

"My Semblance, is Polarity." Pyrrha Said.

"Whoa... You can control poles." Ruby said.

"No, you dunce! It means she has control over magnetism." Weiss said to Ruby with annoyance.

"Magnets are cool too." Ruby said.

"So that's what a Semblance is... interesting." Y/N said to himself. Jaune went over to Cardin and helped him up. Y/N went over to Jaune and patted his shoulder.

"Good job, dude. Stand up for yourself." Y/N Said with a thumbs up. Jaune laughed. Cardin and Y/N then locked eyes from a distance. Anger came from Cardin's glare. Y/N just sighed. Suddenly, 3 Beowolves came out of the forest, surrounding Y/N and Jaune.

"What?! Oh, crap! Jaune, run!" Y/N yelled. Jaune ran back to his team. All the teams watched.

"Y/N!" Ruby yelled. The Beowolves growled evilly.

"It's okay. I got this!" Y/N Said. He took in a deep breath and pulled out his sword.

"No you don't. You'll die. There's too many!" Weiss said. The first came running at Y/N. It slashed at him. Y/N parried the claws and sliced its head off. The next one came and Y/N dodged the attack. He then killed the Beowolf with 28 stab wounds to the chest. For the last Beowolf, Y/N put his sword away, and pulled out his revolver, Ocelot. He started spinning it and doing cool tricks. He started laughing. The Beowolf ran forward, opening its mouth for a large bite. Y/N held his revolver up to match the height of the Beowolf's head. Right when it was about to bite down, Y/N shot a singular bullet, point blank, into the skull of the monster. It fell to the ground. Y/N spun his revolver and put it back into its holster. He let out a long sigh. The monsters disappeared in a cloud of black smoke.

"Nailed it." Y/N Said with a thumbs up, looking towards everyone.

"Whoa!! way to go Y/N!" Ruby cheered. Everyone clapped along, even Professor Goodwitch.

"It seems he does have potential after all." Goodwitch Said to herself.

Everyone walked back to the bullhead, giving Y/N a pat on the back and celebrating.

"At least he's not bullying Jaune anymore. That's what matters." Y/N thought to himself. Everyone arrived back at Beacon and finished the rest of their classes. Everyone went back to their dorms, took their showers, and went to bed.
