Sacrifices: A RWBY Story (Ruby Rose x Male Reader)

Full Scale Grimm Attack

(Getting ever so close to the end of the volume. Only 1 more chapter after this one. LET'S GO!)

Y/N held Ruby who was still crying after the loss of Penny. A Nevermore stood on top of the stadium screeching loudly. Pyrrha stood mortified at what she had done to the innocent girl.... robot... whatever. The citizens in the stadium was either panicking and running, or gone already.

"Warning: Safety Barriers Failing!" The automated alert system announced.

"PYRRHA!!!" Jaune yelled out to her, but to no avail.

"Pyrrha! That thing is going to break in! You gotta move!" Jaune yelled out to her again. Everyone looked up at the Nevermore. It flew back a bit and dove at the arena. Jaune jumped over the arena walls and ran to Pyrrha.

"Pyrrha! Please snap out of it!" Jaune yelled a final time before the Nevermore crashed through the barrier, slamming the ground near Pyrrha and Jaune, sending them far back. The large bird looked up and screeched. It was about to attack the two. Out of nowhere, Ruby pushed Y/N back. Using all of her speed to grab Penny's blade, she stabbed the Nevermore in the chest. Y/N jumped off of the arena wall and ran to Pyrrha, helping her up. Ruby stood in front of Pyrrha, holding the dagger in her hands.

"Ruby?" Pyrrha was confused to see Ruby in front of her.

"LEAVE HER ALONE!!!" Ruby yelled angrily, readying the blade in front of her at the Nevermore. Y/N used his scroll to call in all of the students' lockers. When the oversized crow ran at Ruby, a wave of lockers fell to the arena floor, some hitting the bird. More waves came in, pinning it to the ground. it screeched a final time as Y/N walked up close to it. It lunged its beak at him, but before it hit him, a final locker lodged itself into its skull. Each of the lockers opened up to reveal the students'  weapons. The one on the bird's head didn't open. Y/N jumped upon its head and opened it up to reveal his revolver and sword. He grabbed them and hugged them.

"Good to see you two again. Thank god they told me about these lockers and their positioning systems." He said holstering the two.

"Thanks for getting the weapons, Y/N." Ren said to Y/N, grabbing his own weapons. Everyone else that was in the tournament went atop the giant Grimm to retrieve their weapons. The ground shook as the bird was somehow still alive. Everyone played their parts killing the creature. Yatsuhashi and Sage ended up decapitating it.

"Ruby, Y/N...I..  I'm so sorry." Pyrrha looked down at a piece of cloth from Penny's outfit.

"I am too, but it wasn't your fault." Ruby said.

"Yeah... It was whoever was on the microphone. Also... Emerald and Mercury are at fault too." Y/N added on. Jaune handed Pyrrha her weapon and shield. Then, all of the students stood together with their weapons.  *Insert Avengers Theme* Out of nowhere, a final locker landed near Y/N and it opened, revealing it to be Ruby's scythe. A Grimm landed on the locker, screeching before a shot came to its head. It was Professor Port and Professor Ooblek.

"Students. I think it would be best for you to leave." Port said.

"But we can fi-"

"Miss Rose! This day will surely go down in Remnant's history. I'd prefer it if my students could live to tell about it." Ooblek added on.

"Ruby!" Y/N threw her scythe at her and she caught it, expanding it into its cool scythe form.

"Thanks! Let's go!" She ordered everyone. Everyone ran out of the arena. The citizens who were still there got onto ships to be transported to safety. Grimm were also being offloaded from ships onto the  colosseum. Y/N was the first to make it out of the arena to see Ironwood take on a Beowolf by himself. IT WAS FUCKING LIT.
