Bonnie: "Okay. I'm sorry, I'll focus. We have to make Caroline proud. Or she will kill us."
Jaylan: "Wouldn't be the first time one of my friends tried to kill me." She says walking past them after hearing what Bonnie said
Bonnie: "Are we ever gonna talk about this?" She sighs
Jaylan: "I don't know. I'm kind of liking this immature period I'm in. You said you would set up the ring toss" she says handing her a box filled with stuff for the booth "Unless you're going back on your word with that too."
Elena: "Jaylan come on. You two need to talk it out."
Jaylan: "Not at this moment." She says after looking at Bonnie before walking away

Stefan: "Hey." He says walking up to where Jaylan is setting up a booth
Jaylan: "Hey. You wanna give it a go? Practice your aim so you don't embarrass yourself later." She jokes with him making him laugh
Stefan: "I'm alright. I wanted to see how you're doing after the whole Damon situation."
Jaylan: "Elena said that word is banned from being used today."
Stefan: "How are you? Do you wanna talk about it?"
Jaylan: "What's there to talk about? He assumed something, didn't give me the opportunity to explain myself and then he acted out. Nothing more to say."
Stefan: "Unfortunately, Katherine showing up has him in a little bit of an odd place. A little off-kilter. Kind of dangerous. Who knows what he's up to."
Jaylan: "You know what Stefan I don't care. I can't care. Not today. I just need a break." She says going back to setting everything up making him sigh at her

Jaylan: "There you go, sweetie." She says giving a kid a toy they won
Damon: "Can I get a turn?" He asks coming over and picking up one of the basketballs
Jaylan: "Nope," She says snatching the ball out his hand "We have a no jackass policy. And look at that. Your name is right there." She says picking up a flier and pointing at it
Damon: "I get your mad" she scoffs and rolls her eyes at him "But there's no reason for it. Jeremy was wearing the magic ring that brings people back to life. And he goes another day living his miserable sad life. No harm no foul."
Jaylan: "You honestly think that's what I'm pissed about?"
Damon: "What else is there?" He asks as she gives him a breathy unbelieving laugh
Jaylan: "You asked why it's a surprise we both would want to kiss each other" He nods his head "It's not. What's a surprise is we kiss and then the woman you've been in love with and searching decades for shows up. Pretty sure if she says jump you ask how high. Who's supposed to compete with that?" She says as his face falls "Had you let me explain instead of shoving your tongue down my throat you would've known that."
Damon: "Jaylan I-"
Jaylan: "You know what," she says interrupting him "I have to get back to this. And you're holding up the line." She says pointing behind him where people are standing and he looks at her before sighing and walking away

Damon: "Jaylan." He says coming over to her as she stands at the popcorn stand
Jaylan: "What do you want, Damon?" She asks sighing
Damon: "I know I'm the last person you wanna see, but I need you to come with me."
Jaylan: "Whatever it is, I'm not interested." She says going to walk away but he grabs her arm
Damon: "Yeah I need you to come with me right now, Jaylan." He says as she sighs before following him
Stefan: "How did this happen, hmm?" He asks as they stand in an empty classroom
Damon: "I fed her blood and Katherine killed her. And A plus B equals."
Jaylan: "But why?"
Damon: "Because Katherine is a manipulative, nasty little slut."
Stefan: "And she said, "Game on"? What does that even mean?"
Damon: "It means she's playing dirty. She wants us to know."
Elena: "But why Caroline?"
Damon: "I don't know."
Stefan: "Caroline must be out of her mind. She has no idea what's happening."
Damon: "Oh, I think she does. All my compulsion started wearing off the minute she was in transition."
Stefan: "We have to find her."
Damon: "Yep, and kill her."
Jaylan: "You're not gonna kill Caroline." She snaps at him
Damon: "She knows who we are. She's officially a liability. We gotta get rid of her."
Stefan: "Damon. Absolutely not."
Damon: "Need I remind you of a tragic little story of a girl named Vicki Donovan? Yeah. Caroline will not make it as a vampire. Her mother is a vampire hunter. Guys come on.  We all know how this story ends. Let's just flip to the last chapter and-"
Jaylan: "It's not an option, Damon." She interrupts him
Damon: "No? Your silence is deafening, Stefan. Wait, wasn't there a school carnival the night you staked Vicki? Talk about a town where history repeats itself. You know I'm right."
Jaylan: "We're not gonna kill her." She says getting in his face before leaving to go find her
Damon: "It's the only way." He calls out to them

Damon: "Stefan!" He yells as he pushes him away from Caroline
Caroline: "Get away from me. You killed me." She says backing up from Elena and going into Jaylan's arms
Elena: "No, no, Caroline, that wasn't me. That was Katherine."
Caroline: "No! Then why does she look like you? And why? Why did she do this to me?"
Jaylan: "Okay Care calm down." She says rubbing her arms
Elena: "We gotta get her inside."
Stefan: "Caroline, come with me."
Damon: "She will die. It's only a matter of time."
Stefan: "Maybe so. But it's not gonna happen tonight." He says leading Caroline to the bathroom
Damon: "Oh, yeah, it is," He says running to stab her but Jaylan speeds in front of her stopping him before he can bring the stake down "Really? I'm older than you Jaylan."
Jaylan: "And I'm angrier. You really wanna see who's stronger?" She says as he looks at her determined face "Damon, she's my friend."
Damon: "Whatever happens, it's on you." He says backing up
Elena: "Get her cleaned up."
Bonnie: "Caroline?" She says coming over to them and seeing the dead guy on the truck bed
Stefan: "It's okay. Come on."
Bonnie: "No. You're not. You can't. You can't be." She says grabbing her hand before Stefan brings her to the bathroom
Caroline: "Bonnie. Oh, God! Bonnie."
Stefan: "It's all right. Come here."
Bonnie: "I can't believe this is happening."
Damon: "Come on, don't pout about it. You got a body to bury. Thought you were calling the shots. No? Sucks to be you, buddy." He says before bending down groaning in pain
Bonnie: "I told you what would happen if anyone else got hurt."
Damon: "I didn't do this."
Jaylan: "Bonnie, it wasn't his fault."
Bonnie: "Everything that happens is his fault, Jaylan."
Elena: "Bonnie, what are you doing?" She asks as water starts coming out the hose over to him and it catches on fire
Jaylan: "Bonnie, stop it. Bonnie."
Elena: "Bonnie, stop it. Bonnie, stop it."
Jaylan: "You're gonna kill him," she says as he catches fire screaming in pain "Bonnie! Hey! Bonnie."
Bonnie: "Why? Why did you stop me?" She asks when Jaylan speeds and pushes her a little
Elena: "Because this isn't us. Bonnie, this can't be us. Come on."
Bonnie: "Oh, God." She says as Elena leads her away and Jaylan bends down next to Damon rubbing his back as he pants in pain

Jaylan: "Sure you're gonna be okay here?" She asks walking into Caroline's house behind her
Caroline: "Yeah. I'll be totally fine." She says nodding her head trying to convince herself
Jaylan: "Well how about this. I sleep on the couch, just so you know that you're not alone." She says pointing to it while shrugging her shoulders
Caroline: "I can't ask you to do that."
Jaylan: "You're not asking. I'm offering."
Caroline: "But what about Brielle?"
Jaylan: "She's with Mrs. Dawson tonight. Come on. If you wake up we can stay up and talk all night like we used to do when we were younger. I'm kind of not taking a no with this one." She says as Caroline nods her head and they both smile
