Jaylan: "Are you sure your okay?" She asks while watching Stefan doing pull-ups from a beam in the ceiling
Stefan: "I'm perfectly fine."
Jaylan: "Really? What about all that stuff you told me about the ripper. And what blood does to you."
Stefan: "I just need to take some time and then I'll be good." He says as Damon comes in the room
Damon: "Could you turn it up a little bit? It's not annoying yet."
Stefan: "Sorry."
Damon: "When you going back to school?"
Stefan: "Soon." He says getting down and doing push-ups
Damon: "Oh, come on, just drink already. Come on. This self-detox, it's not natural."
Stefan: "Could you get that away from me, please?" He says looking at the glass of blood in Damon's hand
Damon: "How long did it take to wean yourself off of it after you last indulged? That's not good."
Stefan: "I'll be fine. It takes a bit of time."
Damon: "I don't get it. You don't have to kill to survive. That's what blood banks are for. I haven't hunted a human in- God, way too long."
Jaylan: "Oh, I'm impressed." She says teasingly
Damon: "It's completely self-serving. Trying to get the town off the trail of vampires, which is not easy considering there's an entire tomb of them around."
Stefan: "What are we doing about that?"
Damon: "We're not gonna be doing much of anything if you don't have your strength. There's nothing wrong with a healthy diet of human blood from a blood bank. You're not actually killing anyone."
Stefan: "I have my reasons."
Damon: "What are those holier-than-thou reasons? We've never actually discussed that. You know, I'd love to hear this story."
Stefan: "You're really enjoying this, aren't you? Just watching me struggle?"
Damon: "Very much so."
Stefan: "I hate to break it to you, Damon but I actually have it under complete control."
Damon: "You do?"
Stefan: "Mm-hm."
Damon: "Oh. Well, then you should just carry on making the rest of us vampires look bad. Have a great day, Stef" he says walking out leaving the cup as Stefan stares at it and Jaylan stares at him before Damon comes back "Oh. Hey. Almost forgot something. Oops. Mm. Mm." He says taking a sip out of it leaving
Jaylan: "You sure you're okay?" She asks as he goes back to exercisingAlaric: "I made a copy of a paper that Jeremy wrote for me. I think you should take a look at it." He says to Jaylan and Elena who stand in his classroom
Jaylan: "Jeremy wrote this?" She asks looking at the paper
Alaric: "He was very clear that he didn't think it was real."
Elena: "I really hope you're right because I have done so much to protect him from all this."
Alaric: "So how do you deal with it?"
Jaylan: "What do you mean?" She asks leaning against a desk
Alaric: "With all the lies and the secrets. You have to lie to everyone who's important to you."
Elena: "It's not safe for them to know the truth. So, yes, I keep it from them, but it's only because I love them."
Jaylan: "It's different for me. I'm gonna tell Brielle when she's older and can understand it better. For everyone else, it's until I'm ready to."
Alaric: "I think Stefan's a good guy and Jaylan is great, but at the end of the day, they're still vampires." He says glancing over at Jaylan
Elena: "I know it's hard to understand, but Stefan's different. He would never do anything to hurt me."
Jaylan: "I get it. You should be cautious of me." She says after seeing the guilty look on Alaric's face for what he said
