Jaylan: "Wakey wakey," She says coming into the room to see Brielle pretend to be asleep by pulling the covers over her making her laugh "Could've sworn there was a birthday girl in here somewhere. But I guess this present will just have to go to Elena." She says going to walk out but Brielle stops her Brielle: "No, I'm here. I'm here" she says sitting up making Jaylan turn around "Can I have my gift please?" Jaylan: "Depends. What do I get if I give it to you?" She asks sitting next to her as Brielle climbs over her and hugs her tightly giving her a kiss on the cheek "That'll do. There you sweetheart." She says watching Brielle open the gift to see a doll set and a mermaid blanket." Brielle: "So pretty," She says while looking at her gifts "Thank you, mommy." Jaylan: "Your welcome," She says watching Brielle take the doll out the box "How is it you're already 4?" Brielle: "I don't know." She shrugs her shoulders Jaylan: "You need to stop growing. You have to stay at this age and only this age." Brielle: "How can I do that?" Jaylan: "Well I read that if you get tickled it stops your growth." She says making Brielle giggle Brielle: "That's not true." Jaylan: "Oh yeah. Watch." She says before grabbing Brielle and falling back into the bed tickling her making her laugh out loud in joy

Jaylan: "What do you want?" She asks looking over at Damon who comes and sits next to her and Elena at the grill Damon: "This is where you spend your time when you're not stabbing people in the back." He says looking over at Elena who's reading something Elena: "I tricked you into telling me the truth. That's not stabbing you in the back. That's using your own tactics against you." She says getting up as an employee brings over a birthday cake Jaylan: "Thank you." Damon: "Where are you going?" Elena: "I made myself clear, Damon. I want nothing to do with you." Damon: "Okay. See you at Brielle's birthday party." Elena: "How did you know about Brielle's party?" She asks looking over at Jaylan in shock Damon: "I was kindly invited." He says smugly but Jaylan sighs shutting down that theory Jaylan: "Alaric let it slip out and then he begged me if he can come." Elena: "And why would you want to go to a kids party?" Damon: "I happen to like Brielle okay. And plus isn't a certain uncle of hers going to be there?" Jaylan: "Mason? Yeah." Damon: "Perfect." Jaylan: "And why is that?" Damon: "Figured a social gathering would be a good way to get to know the guy." Elena: "Does Jenna know you're gonna be there? Because she's not exactly a fan of yours." Damon: "Perfect. Thank you. I'm hoping this peach cobbler will pave the way." He says as another waiter brings over a container Jaylan: "You're bringing cobbler to a kids party." She says incredulously Elena: "What are you up to?" Damon: "I'm gonna put some silver into Mason Lockwood and prove he's a werewolf." Jaylan: "Damon," She says getting his attention "You're not ruining this day for my daughter. Understand." She says as he nods his head Damon: "See you there." He says walking away
