Crowley woke up, a cold sweat coating his brow. As he looked panicked around the room, a gentle voice came from beside him.
"Crowley? My dear boy, are you quite alright?"
As Crowley set eyes on his angel, he visibility calmed. Cautiously, he reached out towards Aziraphale.
"Angel?"
Suddenly, Crowley collapsed onto Aziraphale's lap, too weak to stay upright. As the angel gently placed a hand to Crowley's forehead, he flinched, his face filled with worry.
"Oh my! Crowley, dear, you're boiling hot! Can demons-"
"Warm..."
Crowley murmured, wrapping his arms around Aziraphale.
"Don't go."
"Well, it doesn't seem like I can."
The visibly flustered angel paused.
"After all, you're sick, I can't leave you like this."
Aziraphale gently ran his fingers through Crowley's soft hair, sighing softly.
"What happened, dear?"
"Don't want to talk about it."
The angel looked at Crowley fondly, a worried smile on his face.
"Why don't you get some rest?"
"Nightmare."
Aziraphale knew Crowley had been having nightmares for the last week, ever since Gabriel had caught them feeding the ducks together. Crowley must have been worried about that.
"You know Gabriel's promises are empty, don't you, Crowley?"
"But you could fall."
Crowley's voice trailed away, as the demon started to shiver violently. Aziraphale started to panic.
"Do you think - well um - do human doctors deal with these things?"
"Shh."
Crowley put a shaking finger to Aziraphale's lips.
"Shh. Drink."
"Of course, yes, um, water?"
"Mmph."
Aziraphale carefully wriggled out of Crowley's grasp, and then hurried to the kitchen in Crowley's flat, filling a cup full of water from the filter, spilling some on the way back.
"Here, drink up, dear."
Crowley was barely able to hold the cup, and the angel decided to keep hold of it himself. He gently tipped the cup against the demon's lips.
"Any better?"
He asked, as the demon finished the last drops of water.
"Much better."
"Should I stay? Are you going to sleep?"
Crowley managed a feeble smirk.
"I'll sleep better if you stay next to me, angel."
