The redhead and the raven haired boy finally arrived at the Burrow.
Mrs. Weasley rushed out of the small house wearing a frilly pink apron. Her face one of worry and relief.
"Hello Harry!" She said excitedly.
She kissed my cheek and I shuffled my feet awkwardly.
"Hello Mrs. Weasley." I said politely.
I looked behind her. "Is Ron here?"
She nodded and led me into the house. I looked around, it wasn't a very big house. There was a clock on the wall that had all the family members' names on it and seven hands. All seemed to point at home.
A red haired, freckled kid and a girl with bushy hair and rather large front teeth were bouncing down the stairs towards Harry.
"Happy birthday!" Ron roared as he reached me, grinning at me.
"Happy birthday Harry." Said Hermione, running towards me and engulfing me in a hug.
"Thanks guys." I replied as Hermione let go.
"We're having a birthday dinner Harry. In honour of you." Ron told me as he led us upstairs.
We passed Ron's younger sister, Ginny, as she was heading down. The latter took one look at me and blushed a deep red, diving into the closest bedroom.
I watched her go, "what was that?" I asked quietly.
"She's developed a little crush on you Harry." Said Hermione, lowering her voice and looking back at the bedroom Ginny was currently hiding in.
We reached the floor of Ron's bedroom, "sorry if it is a little small." Ron grimaced.
"I don't mind." I replied, shrugging.
___
"Dinner is ready!" Mrs. Weasley's voice echoed up the stairs.
"Come on then." Ron said happily as he left the room. Hermione and I followed suit.
We entered the kitchen and a wonderful smell drifted into Harry's nose. The three took a seat at the table and started eating, chatting happily.
"Happy birthday Harry!" Cried Mrs. Weasley as she brought out desserts.
"Thank you Mrs. Weasley." I tried putting as much kindness and appreciation into my tone as possible.
She smiled brightly at me as she passed me some ice cream. I smiled back and ate a spoonful.
"This is delicious!" I beamed at the ice cream.
"It tastes like magic. Not literally of course." Fred joked.
We all laughed and chatted into the night. The night was filled with music, dancing, laughter, stories.. but the time flew by, and suddenly Mrs. Weasley's voice rang through the tiny kitchen.
"Up, up! Time for bed. And no talking." Said Mrs. Weasley as she ushered us upstairs.
Ron, Hermione, and I scurried up as fast as our feet could take us onto the landings. We reached the floor Ginny's room was on, Hermione bid us goodnight and headed inside. Ron and I descended up the remaining the steps towards his bedroom. We entered the bedroom, Ron closing the door with an echoing thud once we were inside.
I took off my glasses and placed them on Ron's night stand.
I climbed into my camp bed and punched the pillow to make it more comfortable, pulling the covers higher above my neck.
"One last happy birthday mate." I heard Ron say.
I grinned appreciatively although it was to dark for him to see. "Thanks." I replied, changing my position on the bed to face the wall.
