I was still mad at Draco the following morning.
Today was Saturday.
And today we had Quidditch practice.
I silently groaned. As much as I was excited to fly again, I didn't want to see Draco.
I got out of bed. Draco had already left the room. I slowly changed into jeans and sweater, then headed down. There were sixth years milling about carrying a toast or two. I walked past them and out into the hall. I made my way slowly upstairs.
In the past week, I've had a fight with two of three of my closest friends. I entered the Great Hall depressingly. I glanced up and for a moment, caught silver eyes on me. It was so quick I even thought I had imagined it.
As I got closer to the Slytherin table, I noticed Draco hadn't bothered to save me a seat. Which was expected after last night. Instead I took a seat beside two third years chatting excitedly. I ate my food glumly. After what felt like seconds, I felt a tap on my shoulder.
Marcus Flint, captain of the Slytherin Quidditch team, was staring into my face. "Lets go midget, time for practice."
I nodded, not even bothering to fire back.
Out onto the field, I felt more free if that made any sense. Like I could out fly my problems.
Practice was very awkward. Pansy had tried to strike conversation with Draco and I, but none had worked. Finally, practice was over. We were all heading back to the changing rooms.
I was looking forward to a warm shower, I got off my Quidditch things and headed towards the showers. It seemed like everyone had already left. I marched towards a certain shower stall, but as I came close, it opened. Silver eyes bore into my green ones. I looked down, then wished I hadn't. Draco wasn't wearing anything but a towel wrapped around his waist. I blushed crimson red. For a moment, a lazy grin spread on Draco's face. He opened his mouth as if intending to say something, then, remembering our current situation, he walked away.
