[ First of all, I would like to say that I will finish this story in a couple really long chapters because I don't think I can bring myself to make a lot of chapters. I haven't read this in a while so I might have the timeline thing wrong. ]

I've been having a really peaceful life. By peaceful I mean chaotic, but all the same very fun. Time has flown, it's been three more beautiful years at Hogwarts. I'm now in my fifth year, I'm fourteen, turning fifteen. Isn't that crazy? My time here is slowly ticking away. I've stayed at the Burrow for summer break during the past years. I never stopped exchanging letters with Draco during those breaks. Draco and I get along well, I'm still not sure what my feelings are for him are, I'm very confused. I can't possibly be gay can I?

I put down my wand and looked at Hermione. She's very pretty if you think about it, but I'm not attracted to her in any way. I glanced at Ron, whom was staring at her from the opposite side of the room. I'm currently in Charm's class, but I can't focus.

Hermione flicked her wand, and the object she was working on soared successfully. She beamed and looked around her. She made eye contact with Ron as Professor Flitwick came by and beamed, "now look here- Miss Granger has done it!" Hermione blushed a faint pink, and Ron turned a bit red on the tips of his ears. They both looked away at the same time, that was when I stopped watching. I felt as if I was intruding on something. I instead watched Draco, whom was beside me, casually watching what I was. I couldn't understand what the emotion was in his face, he was masking it very well. He caught me staring and smiled faintly. Slowly, I smiled back. I stared into his silver eyes as the bell rang. I shook my head while everyone stood up noisily around us. Draco seemed a bit off as well. Draco and I exited the classroom together, walking silently towards the Great Hall for dinner. As I passed the Gryffindor table, several people stood up and waved. I smiled at them. I could feel rather than see Draco trying to make himself look smaller and less visible. It's no secret that Draco and I are friends, more than friends. I glanced at him, and smiled at him warmly. He peeked at me through his platinum blond hair, and smiled faintly back. I looked back towards the Gryffindor table. Friends, best friends. You could say.

We took our seats at the Slytherin table, amongst the crowd of normally howling students. Draco didn't say anything as he lifted his fork, as if wondering what he could possibly do with it. "Are you feeling alright?" I asked him, trying to sound casual. Draco twirled the fork with his fingers, "yeah. Yeah I'm fine. Sorry for being quiet all day, I've just had a lot on my mind." Draco replied quietly. I nodded. I understood him, seeing as I was thinking about him the whole day. During dinner Draco barely ate, although I tried encouraging him to eat some apples. He bit the apple slowly, as if he wasn't really here. His mind was obviously elsewhere. Soon after, Draco was the first to leave the Slytherin table. I watched him walk down aisles of tables, my eyes trained on his back. I swallowed my apple and got up, saying my goodbyes to my peers. I tried to look casual as I stalked him out of the room. I was quiet during the whole thing, I didn't want him to know I was following him. I shivered silently, he must think I'm creepy.

I followed Draco to an empty balcony, staying just behind the pillar behind him, I was hiding in the shadows, carefully blending myself into the dark. Draco looked ethereal, standing there with his hands on the railing. His hair blowing gently behind him, a sunset to complete the picture. I couldn't look away, it was as if I was mesmerised. Which, I suppose, I was. Draco stood there until the moon rose, then he silently sat down and took to staring at the stars. Draco looked perfect sitting there, his platinum blond hair looked like a star in the night sky. I didn't know how long I stood there, watching Draco like the creepy stalker I am. It was while watching Draco gaze up at the night, that it hit me.

Draco isn't just a friend, is he. I don't think so, not anymore. He's so much more than that. Draco has such a pure soul, and I think I'm starting to really like this...certain pure soul. I could hear my heart beating, and it beat as if it wanted to be closer to Draco. Just then, Draco sighed and took out a piece of parchment. My interest spiked and I leaned closer out of the shadows. Draco wrote something down on the parchment, checked it over twice, and then placed it behind a loose brick. Taking one last look at the stars, Draco hurried inside. I quickly fell back into the shadows, hoping Draco hadn't seen me. That would've been hard to explain. Once I was sure that Draco was nowhere near, I crept out of the shadows. I slowly walked towards the balcony. The wind had calmed, and there wasn't a breeze anywhere. I bent towards the brick I had seen him hide the paper behind, and slowly pulled it open. I wondered whether this was something personal, and I felt slightly guilty as I took the paper and shoved it into my pocket. I pushed the brick back into place and hurriedly left the balcony, feeling as if I just left a crime scene.

As I walked down the deserted hallways, I pulled the parchment out of my pocket and stared at it. Wondering what could be hidden inside. I quickly pushed it back into my pocket as I entered the Slytherin common room. Just as I expected, Draco was sitting in an armchair near the fire, his eyes glued to the door. His silver eyes softened as he caught sight of me, but I wasn't sure if that was the case. As it was only for a split second and he then turned towards the fire. I walked towards him slowly, "hello."

"Hello."

I sat beside him, neither of us said a word. Instead we gazed into the flickering flames of the fire. Draco kept his eyes glued to the fire as he said, "do you want to know what I've been thinking about?"

I froze, worried for a second. "If you're comfortable with that." I said softly.

Draco put his chin in his hands, hiding his face from me. "I've been thinking about you actually."

I froze, my heart pounded in my chest. And I couldn't help the butterflies that arose within me. I cleared my throat, "you have?"

"Yes."

There was silence for a moment. The common room was empty, everyone else had already retired for the night. Suddenly, Draco stood up. I looked up worriedly, but he just shook his head and walked off. I watched him climb the steps towards the dormitories, and listened for the closing of the door, before taking the parchment out of my pocket. I tried pushing the guilty thoughts out of my head as I pulled open the parchment.
