The Lion King:The Journey of Kion and Kopa Part 2

Once Kajor's Domain

Kopa POV
Fighting with Kion was stupid but some of the things he said were down right hurtful. I saved him from death but ended up stuck under a rock. Rozu soon found me. I was left alone to face my fate. It has been a few day since then and now I am being told that we near Kajor's homeland. My mind ponders at what horrors await me.
"Alright Kopa try anything here and it will be your life and your family's"
"Alright no tricks I promise". We walked into there camp and I was blown away.
It was a beautiful flower filled mountain top. Well groomed hyenas looked at me as I passed by. How could hyenas be this groomed. They got in line behind us.
"I thought there was two" said people in the crowd.
We climbed stone steps until we reached the top awaiting us a a female hyena with golden hair as well as black and white race. Rozu and Nadi took their places by her side.
"Rozu what happened to the other one".
"He slipped out of our paws Momma".
She looked at me, for a long while in silence.
"Kajor never said he had a mate".
"Now you are looking at her, the name is Zora" she scowled "you killed my mate".
"Ugh he..."
"He was only getting what he was promised, he believed in fairness" she hissed.
"How much do you know about your mate. First off he nearly mauled me to death then ran off my brother and made him believe that everyone he loved was dead. Then he moved into the pridelands and forcefully took over our home shoving our friends into holes, so what we did to him was fair" I hissed back.
Zora was lost for words
"Your majesty he is right and hearing the stories Zeb tells, Zeb was right too. No other hyenas that went will contest but I saw it first hand on the animals of the prides" said a female hyena.
"Watch your tongue Fisi, to much time with Zeb" said Rozu.
"Look your majesty and everyone else but your mate, father, and leader was no good guy he was a villainous hyena"
"How dare you pridelander... " said Rozu.
"No Rozu he is right" said Zora.
Everyone gasped.
"I have denied it for so long hoping he wouldn't be like his brother but I was wrong. Kopa is it would you please be so kind to join us for dinner I would like to apologize as well".
And Kion said talking is a bad thing but can't let my guard down yet.
"Sure".
"Momma" said Rozu and Nira.
"Come on let's go Kopa" I followed the queen. We were lead to a neat stack of gazelle.
"I have to say I never expected he would come from such a nice place".
"Yeah I don't know what kind of savage kingdom he kept there that selfish... I'm sorry" she began to tear up. She has just learned that her husband has been the evil hyena around she needs comforted. I nudged her into an area where I could talk to her alone.
"I am so sorry for everything that he has done Kopa, you said he assaulted you".
"Yeah when I was a cub he thought he could start a conflict between the prides and outlands by killing me. He nearly did if it hadn't been for a human".
"Well Kopa when ever you feel like making the journey home please tell your prides that I am sorry for everything and if they need help with anything just to ask us".
"Thank you Zora, your other son Zeb he tried free us and only managed to get Kion. He told me that no one believed him when he said that Kajor hated him. I think that affected him badly".
Zora almost teared up again.
"How could I have treated my sweet Zeb like that, I should have listened to him none of this would have happened. I can't believe Kajor abusing his own son. Rozu and Nira knew...excuse me Kopa".
She pulled them aside and scolded them.
Zora's hyenas had no clue that Kajor was evil but they were quick to write him off. These hyenas were different than any I have seen before they are always trying to better than their species has been in the past. They live in a high society. After I get some rest and something to eat I will try to make my way home. I just hope Kion made it okay.
