Annabeth's pov

  "Why? What's Camp Half-Blood?" I ask.

Grover looks at me. "It's the only safe place for your  kind."

  "Our kind?" Luke asks.

  "Demigods. Now, follow me quickly."

We exchange glances, then shrug. If he tries to kill us, we have weapons.

  So we follow him.

  ~a few days later~

"I was sure itt was this way..." Grover murmurs, trying not to be heard. Luke and Thalia were in deep conversation, but I heard him.

I walk up to him. "You have no clue where we're going do you?" I ask.

"What!? No, of course I do!"

"Mmhmm, certainly looks like it." I cross my arms and tap my foot.

  "Fine, I don't."

  "Where is Camp?"

  "Long Island."

"New York?" Grover nods his head.

I close my eyes and picture of one of Dad's maps of the east coast. A pinpoint appears, telling me where we are. Another shows our destination.

Thank you mom. I think and open my eyes. Grover looks at me funnily. "We're going south, not north like we're suppose to." With that, I skip off to join Thalia, leaving behind a dumfounded Grover. I giggle.

We turn around and start moving north. Soon, Grover leads us to an old house.

I heard my dad's voice. "Annie!" He yells.

I look at Luke in a panic. "That's Dad!" I say.

"I smell monsters..." Grover says quietly.

I run into the house. "Annabeth!" Thalia yells after me. I enter the house.

"Annie!" My dad's voice calls again.

  "Thalia!" I hear Luke shout.

  "Luke!" Thalia yells back.

"Annie, where are you!?" The both yell.

"Grover? Luke? Thalia!?" I call out, becoming more afraid as I continue to walk, hearing one person shouting for another.

Then I hear a scream. "Thalia!" I scream.

"Annie! Why did you leave me!?" My Dad's voice calls to me, heart broken.

  I suppress a sob.

"Annabeth! Get out of here! It's a-" Luke gets cut off by a loud thud. I suppress another sob.

I find a doorway where all the shouts are coming from. I open the door slowly.

Thalia was fighting against ropes, Luke was yelling at me from behind a gag, but his eyes told me exactly what he wanted to say. Run. Grover was knocked out cold tied upside down along with the others.

  Then I saw him.

He was seven feet tall and stunk horribly. He seemed like he hadn't eaten in awhile though. I didn't want to look past his ugly, misshapen teeth, but I forced myself to. He had one, great big, crystal blue eye gazed down on me. Then he spoke.

"Annie, why'd you leave me?" He says in my father's voice.

My eyes widen, how did he do that!?

"It's okay, Annie, no need to be afraid. I love you dearly, sweet Annie." He says again.

I then do the most insane thing ever. I walk forward.

A/N I was gonna end here, but I felt but I feel bad for being a horrid person soo, I'm gonna continue.

The monster smiles his ugly toothy grin. "That's it Annie, come back to me."

I get closer to him and glance at my friends. They looked at me in horror. Their eyes litteraly screamed, Get out of there! Are you insane!?

Maybe a little. I look back at the monster who spreads his arms open. I walk a bit faster and then-

A/N Should I end here? Hmm...

Your still reading!? Well...

I guess I will continue.

Your welcome!

No, you don't have to thank me.

I walk forward a bit faster, then plunge my knife into his foot.

He howls in pain and I dodge his out stretched hand to untie Thalia. She runs into action. I turn to Luke who still has a look of shock. Then it turns too relief as I untie the gag, then move to the ropes holding him in place.

"Are you mental!? What were you thinking!?" Luke exclaims.

"You're just now noticing!?" I ask in mock suprize. "I couldn't let that thing kill you guys, I had to do something! That was the only thing that seemed like the best idea at the time! Now, should I untie you or do you want to hang upside down?" I ask.

  "Untie me!"

I cut the rope and he quickly joins Thalia who seemed to not need the help.

I untiie Grover and wake him up by slapping him on the cheek. "Where's the food!?" He asks, sitting up straight.

"Is none." I say, then turn to watch the monster desolve into dust. "What was that thing?" I ask Grover.

"Cyclops. Love to eat demigods, satyrs, and sheep."

"Very helpful." I say. Thalia walks up to me and lifts me above her head, spinning. I laugh.

"That's my girl!" She says, setting me down and ruffling my hair.

I smile and we leave the place. Thank the gods.

A/N Okay, you may proceed to through me in Tartarus. I am terribly sorry that I haven't updated in forever! Will virtual hugs and blue cookies help? *pouts with puppy dog eyes*
