Annabeth's pov

After many more wrong turns, including another cyclops, a pack of hellhounds, and even more of my good old friends, the empousia, we finally reach the road that takes us to 'Half-Blood Hill' as Grover calls it.

I could hear the shouts and growls and snarls and whatever else these monsters mkae, behind us, getting louder by the moment.

"There!" Grover calls back through the heavy down pour. Oh, I forgot to mention. It's raining heavily.

Luke grabs my hand and pulls me up before I fell to the concrete below me. My teeth were chattering. Badly. I shook like there was no tommorow.

I had lost my backpack during the enconter with the second cyclops.

The icy rain soaked straight through me to the bone. Thunder rumbled loudly, as if the King of the Sky was angry for some reason. Oh, I think I know! The god of the Underworld had sent a horrd of monsters after his daughter and her friends. Grover had filled us in on what we were missing. He told me I smelled like a daughter of Athena, goddess of wisdom, battle stradegy, and crafts. Makes sence.

  Anyways, back to running.

We made it to the hill. I glance to the side and see the monsters only two stones throw away. I move alittle faster, but the hill is slippery. I lose my footing and start sliding towards the monsters below.

I finally stop sliding. My eyes widen as the Minataur rushing towards me. He lowers his head and the two horns bury themselves on either side of my head. I start scrambling upward when he grabs my foot, stopping me. I look into his eyes that are filled with hatred for me... no, my kind.

He pushes forward, snorting. I get hit with the smell of rotten meat and wet dog. I cough as my eyes water, though it's impossible to tell give the rain only gets harder.

Lightning strikes about half a mile away. I start pulling again, desperatly trying to get away. "Let go of me!" I scream.

He explodes into dust. I wipe my face so I don't breathe it in as Luke picks me up. "Go! I'll hold them off!" I hear Thalia yell from behind me.

"No! NO! WE HAVE TO HELP! Luke, stop!" I scream, beating his chest as more tear rush down my cheeks, racing the rain drops that keep pounding into me.

I catch a glimse of Thalia and my sobs and crys get louder.

A flash of lightning showed her laying motionless, a spear through her heart as a tree starts to grow up from her. "No! THALIA!!" I scream as we pass into the camp boarders.

The worst thing about it, you may ask? It was Thalia's thirteenth birthday...

A/N I cried! I cried writing this! I know I haven't got the comments or votes, but I was bored, sue me! Besides, I would think you would like this given I gave you another chapter!
  Byezzz!
