Amethyst's POV
After I gave the officer my statement, Ryder said bye to his friends then led me to his car. I got in then he got in as well. He started the engine then drove out after the police had went away.
"You're going to tell me what 'galah' is?" He asked me.
"It's an insulating word for a person who you, in this case, I, thinks is silly or stupid." I said.
"I am not silly. Or stupid for that matter." He said.
"Uh, huh. But you went away with one A*, and 6 C's. So not stupid at all." I mocked as he looked annoyed but was bursting with laughter on the inside.
When we got home, we instantly saw his parents. They saw us and looked at us with confusion.
"Aren't you suppose to be in school Amethyst?" His father asked me.
"Erm...well, you see..." I trailed off.
"She was getting chased by a pervert teacher so she ran to my college." Ryder said for me.
"I hope he goes to hell." His mother spat. "At least you're safe now. You must be tired. Get some sleep and Ryder will get you to wake up when dinner's ready." I nodded my head and went upstairs.
As my head hit the pillow, I instantly fell asleep.
⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛
Blood. All I see is blood. Everywhere in this room is covered in blood. Even half of my clothes are covered in blood.
Crying.
I can hear Slate crying behind me. Crying in front of the scene in front of him. Why him? He's only 3 years old.
Cigarettes.
I can smell cigarettes from the murderer's mouth. It stinks the whole room up.
Tears.
I can taste my tears in my mouth as it ran down freely. No matter how much I try and wipe them away, it all comes down like a waterfall.
A gun.
I can feel the smooth, silky texture of the gun he had used on my family. With my shaky hands, putting up my arm so I was aiming it at him, I shot the last bullet at him.
In the head.
Killing him instantly.
I woke up with sweat around me as my breathing went heavy. I calmed my heart as much as possible before getting out of bed.
I walked out of my room then downstairs. I walked into the kitchen the grabbed a glass and filled it up with water. Once I was finished I washed it then placed it back in the cabinet.
As I turned around, I saw Ryder's parents and Felix looking at me.
"You okay? You're sweating." His mother said as she wiped my sweat off with a cold, wet towel.
"I-i'm fine. Thanks." I said as they smiled sadly at me.
I nodded my head at them before walking away and walked upstairs.
As I went to step on the last step, I got pushed back when I had bumped into a large body. I waited myself to take the fall when I realised I wasn't falling.
I opened my eyes and saw Ryder grabbing onto my wrist. He pulled me up and held me in his arms for a while.
"You okay?" He asked as I nodded my head. "Your brother is in your room sleeping by the way. I put him in there since he's connected to your scent.
"Thanks." I said as I stepped away from him.
"Are you sure you're okay? You're sweating like hell." He touched my forehead with the back of my hand then instantly pulled away.
"You're burning up. How'd you get the fever?" He asked while pulling me into his room.
He sat me down and went into his bathroom. He came back out with a bucket full of water and a towel.
He laid me down then placed a wet towel on my forehead.
"How'd you get the fever?" He asked again.
"I don't know. Maybe, it came late when it was raining a few days ago. I was soaked when running to the donut shop to get some donuts." I answered
"Why didn't you have a jacket with you?" He asked.
"It was sunny and I didn't know it was going to rain that day so I went to school without one." I answered.
"Get a jacket to school. It's November and it's freezing in England." He said. "But for now, get some sleep."
He went to walk out of his room when I grabbed his hand. He looked at it before looking at me.
"Where will you be sleeping?" I asked.
"In your room." He said.
"Why can't I sleep in my room and let my brother sleep here with you, with a pillow of mine so he can be able to sleep without any nightmares." He thought about it for a moment before nodding his head.
He picked me up, bridal style then went to my room. He laid me down and put the covers around me while getting my brother in his arms with a pillow he was clinging on to then took him to his room.
He came back with the bucket of water. He grabbed the towel from my head, washed it again with cold water then squeezed the towel so there wouldn't be any water dripping out then placed it on my forehead.
"Get some sleep. I'll tell mum that you would need some medicine. I'll bring your dinner to you when it's ready." He said.
"Thank you." I said before he walked out.
He smiled at me before closing my door. With that, I closed my eyes and went to sleep.
